Willingdon College was established on June 22 1919 in the city of Sangli, Maharashtra. The college is named after the then governor of Bombay, Lord Willingdon. The college is affiliated to the Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The college has been successful in providing quality education for about 100 years. At present the college offers various courses at the Bachelors and Masters level. The college is accredited grade ‘ A’ by NAAC and also approved by University Grant Commission (UGC). The vision of the college is to enhance mental growth and development of the students by providing exceptional and quality education.

I choose this college because it's government college and it's very beautiful college this college was established by governor of Bombay lord Williongdon in the year of 1919 in this college so many freedom fighters who have been visited this college and I feel proud about my college Admission process is very simple we should fill form online and choose our course and submit in our office and we should pay for booking our seat office staff members are very cooperative and they guide us everything and what what documents are required College offers seat on basis of 12 board exams

- The library provides books from courses as well of competitive exams like MPSC nad UPSC etc.
- The college has a proper study room with a very quite and suitable environment for study
Dislikes
- The boys washrooms are not clean at all and mostly broken and no water supply in the boys washroom
- Outsider students are not asked for ID to enter in the campus and not even any kind of entry is made of outsider students

The main reason i joined this college was because of the fantastic and well-known Chemistry department of the college that provides studies upto MSc in Chemistry amd 2 nd reason was the sport facility of the College which has its own gym.in sangli the only college with its own gym

- I like the college campus very much because it is very big and after going there i feel very fresh
- The classrooms are very large and there are many windows in the classroom

- Parking is very small so sometimes it seems that if the parking is big then it is good
- The rules are very strict over there so a little bit of russia should ease them on top of everything

There was no external exam needed for admission and in class 12th you need more than 60%+ marks which I had and the process was very smooth and very good and there are many benefits If someone comes to the cast.

The college celebrate a centenary years. College has NAAC A grade. The infrastructure of college is very good. The faculty and teaching quality is excellent. The placement cell and canteen in college can be improved. The extracurricular activities of college helped in being human. Overall it is best college in sangli district and in shivaji university kolhapur.

Willingdon College in Sangli does not offer a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Information Technology (IT).
