Willingdon College was established on June 22 1919 in the city of Sangli, Maharashtra. The college is named after the then governor of Bombay, Lord Willingdon. The college is affiliated to the Shivaji University, Kolhapur. The college has been successful in providing quality education for about 100 years. At present the college offers various courses at the Bachelors and Masters level. The college is accredited grade ‘ A’ by NAAC and also approved by University Grant Commission (UGC). Likes

The college management is so good there are separate departments for each of the subjects like department of computer science department of physics department of chemistry etc
Things I like this the environment of the college and and infrastructure no doubt it is the best I can think so

Dislikes

The only thing is that improved should be that other students or other people can enter the college without any identification
The classroom should be neat and benches should be proper no cleanliness in classrooms
There should be more water management because the college area is much bigger

Admission:

The course I choose the computer science as compared to other colleges it is much better in faculties in fees and in every type I think so I choose this college, the admission experience is overall good because there are no complicated steps there are no things as such as cut off

Infrastructue is the best as it was built in British time greener is good for better environment .lab are good with good instruments.best are the staff as per my opinion for especially chemistry subject practical are almost covered syllabus

Dislikes

Thing I don't like about college is the behaviour of some student and other non teaching staffs like in office and others like theire are no strict cheking at the gate of college therefore other colleg students enter the college and make violence

Admission:

At my locality theire are 2 or 3 colleges for my perticular cource as compared to other college this college is better for its NAAC grade and other staffs and teaching in other colleges practical are not conducted properly

The library provides books from courses as well of competitive exams like MPSC nad UPSC etc.
Any kind of tobbaco or such stuff is strictly prohibited inside the main building as well as in the hostels

The main reason i joined this college was because of the fantastic and well-known Chemistry department of the college that provides studies upto MSc in Chemistry amd 2 nd reason was the sport facility of the College which has its own gym.in sangli the only college with its own gym
