Remarks

Overall it was a beautiful experience for me of learning about such an amazing stream of work & also was fun doing the same. The faculty made things easier to understand & grasp. Every possible facet of the hotel industry was in front of us with its poten

Entrance Preview

CAT, Scored 430/1000. I Opted this college as it was regarded one of the best in private colleges for hotel management.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The faculty in the college were pretty experienced people who had earned their knowledge during their time in the industry. They knew whats the current need of the market in every sector i.e Front office, Food & beverage, etc. & accordingly moulded its students. The faculty also helped students gain confidence when it came to sitting for GM rounds of a campus interview.

Internships Opportunities

Yes it does provide a 6 month internship. The stipend varied from Hotel to hotel but on an average per student per month got atleast Rs. 700/-. I did my internship from Renaissance Hotel & convention center, Powai & received a stipend of Rs. 1000/-

Placement Experience

4.5

Brands right from Taj to Sea Princess to even Rodas were there for the campus interviews. The figures for packages were discrete as every organisation offered different package for different departmental roles. In food & beverage minimum earnings could be Rs. 3000/-, Housekeeping would be Rs. 2,500/-, Front office Rs. 4500 & Kitchen (main kitchen) Rs. 4000/- & bakery kitchen Rs. 3500. (all figures are per month & approximate).

College Events

3.5

Theme lunch - The whole of second year students are given a theme based on the occasion or festival going on currently & accordingly the whole restaurant & college interiors was to be decorated. Even the food menu had to be planned & made by students accordingly with the help of their Professors. The event would have the professors as guests & some special guests too were to be invited.Theme dinner/College fest - This is another version of theme lunch only advantage here is students become entrepreneurs as they set up their own foodstalls & sell food made by them. Its a typical college fest where student handle everything right from security to housekeeping to cultural programs. Student managers for every department is made & they make their team. Every student is given a job/task to follow like how it would be in a huge hotel banquet hall. Lunch - Everyday the mock restaurant has a set up of lunch restaurant made up. The professor appoints two section holder managers & one restaurant manager who take care of the servings to the customer. Students are also appointed as host & hostess who individually go to professors to invite them & narrate them the menu for the day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible enough in comparison to the facilities provided in return. Not just facilities but also its quality is good enough. Good quality uniform, good quality ingredients in the kitchen & hence good wholesome food, proper seating arrangements, proper computer & library facility, proper books to read, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

No scholarship is there that I came across when i was in college. There are loan providing bank's officials that are present during the fees paying time in the college premises. They do have their own schemes to offer.

Campus Life

3

Everything offered by the college was in safe environment & hassle free. The canteen served good & quality food according to its prices. Gender ratio was actually 4:1 (boy:girl) reason being the stream of study. Extracurricular activities were only the sports day, theme dinner & theme lunches. Apart from that there used to be flower arrangement competition, rangoli competition, bartending competition.

Alumni/Alumna

There aint any network as such wherein we have a basic knowledge of college developments & achievements apart from the facebook page.

Exam Structure

The exams were pretty well planned with a proper time gap between practicals & theories. Subjects like Food & beverage & front office had real life mock test of a restaurant & front desk of a 5-star hotel respectively given situation handling. Submission

Course Curriculum Overview:

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

I have rarely seen companies coming to our college for placement purposes for our course but I have seen companies coming for BCOM and BCA. I don't know about my course as I am currently in my second year. The percentage of students getting placements are veryess as my friend from third year said that out of 150 students only 10 students got placed this year which is very less compared to other colleges. My plans after getting the degree is if I got a job in any of the it company I will do it for experience and side by side I am planning to pursue my education in MSC CS
