Remarks

The lack of a college campus is a major setback in this campus. And also the canteen doesn't serve any non-vegetarian foods. The college does not allow to use of mobile phones on campus.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The teaching is based on the current trends and norms. The curriculum is very good compared to similar courses in other universities. The college has a good reputation and definitely does help in placements. Industrial visits are organized every semester.

Placement Experience

4

ITC, Amazon, Unilever, local food companies. Each of the recruiters had a specific procedure and was followed accordingly following multiple rounds for selection. We have a good percentage of placement. Usually, there are career guidance programs and resources persons who would address the students.

College Events

4

College day, traditional day, freshers day, Holi, teachers day, students a day, festival day, intercollegiate fest participated by colleges in and around Mangalore. The intercollegiate is itself divided into 3 types depending on the course mainly 1 fest for the postgraduates, 1 for graduation science subjects and other for commerce and arts.

Fee Structure And Facilities

At the time, my fees per semester were less than 15000 which is very feasible as other college having similar courses charge double the amount. Additional charges are taken during the university examinations. Online transfers or physical cash transfers are available. The college is very transparent.

Fees and Financial Aid

An ample number of scholarships are provided for deserving students depending upon their financial requirements. The criteria are once set by the government. The management-based scholarships it is based on the meritorious principle.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is not very big as it is in the heart of the city. This is a women's college and has completed its centenary year last year. There is no discrimination based on any of the factors and all are treated and respected equally. All are allowed to have their individual preferences.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni always had the best things to say about the college and appreciated the lecturers a lot. The mutual bond between student and lecturer was pretty much visible. The seniors always had a helping hand and never had a bad experience with them.

Admission

My sister was also alumni of this college. I chose this college as it was the only college offering the course I wanted in and around Mangalore. The admission was done through merit and a personal interview. The procedure was very simple and I had the best experience of my life here.

Faculty

5

There are around 50 lecturers most of whom are middle age and have more than 10 years of experience in the field. They are really good at the subject knowledge. Most of the lecturers have had prior experience working in the field and usually relate the theory to in-practice knowledge.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of the dual degree that it has to offer, christ is one of the very few institutions that offer dual degree and allow you to explore both the subjects or gain combined knowledge of both the subjects. The curriculum is very up to date with subjects that relate to real world problems. What i like the most about my curriculum is the Learner centric approach where they divide the class into halves so that the teacher student ratio can be maintained in order to achieve full efficiency. One area of improvement can be inculcating more soft skills traininng into it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

- curriculum specially for BA is not like how you see in other universities it's a comprehensive curriculum where your also studying subject like AI learning, data analysis, regional languages and so much more it is a comprehensive course which is not only focusing on your major but also on an overall development of you as a student.. - well we are not only getting in-class lectures but we also have a internal component of internship every year which helps us get an experience of real world situations and job market. -There is one course called numbers we have that could be improved it basically talks about mathematical in economic applications numerical implications particularly which has not been given more thought on it could be more elaborated and structured well. - frequency is high and difficulty is moderate usually.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.

Remarks:

I liked the course provided by this college. The subjects are different for every semester and the aura is splendid. This college provides a very good faculty which not only is good at keeping up with academics, but also is great in keeping a good rapport with their students. There is a whole variety of extra curricular activities which brings out the core personality of every student. I for a fact, had stage fear. But after I chose MIC, I really started getting over it.
