Many times, it is ranked above the IIT's. Also, it has won many sports championship and recently ranked 1st among universities in Khelo India championship.

About the exams, it has semester system and exams are conducted twice a semester; one is mid semester exam and another is final exam. Also, here more focus is on the student learning. Faculty is always ready to help out the students, then it may a problem related to studies or a personal problem. There are also many curricular activities like drama club, dance society etc. Industrial trips were also organised for the students.

As Chemistry department does not conduct that much professional courses, so the companies for the placement were not very large in number. Some of the companies that visited department were; Dr. Reddy Lab, Lal Path Labs, Cipla, Byju's, Aakash coaching Institute etc Also there is no special placement cell of department but a central cell ow available for all students.

There are many activities and events that are held annually here. It includes cultural festivals, tech festivals, sports festivals etc. Students all around the Chandigarh participate in these events.

Annual academic fee was around Rs 40000 and most of the payment methods were accepted. All the fee structure is transparent and also this place is not that much expensive as compared to others. There are not any additional charges that need to be paid for the seat, it's only the admission fee.

No, I didn't apply for any scholarship. But it gives many scholarships in different fields like scholarship for poor students, for students performing well in academics and sports.

About the gender ratio, girls are more than 50 percent and even in my class the ratio of girls was 80 percent. About politics, here are around 5-6 major student parties. Labs were also well maintained and they were having many instruments. Each and every sports is there in campus and many sports events are held annually.

Yes, I had a hostel. For B.Sc students, rooms are available on sharing basis and rooms are well maintained. Hostel is much better option than that of PG. But hostel seats are much limited and many students have to rent a PG

All the seniors here are very helpful in nature and help in studies as well as in different fields also.

Admission is based on the entrance test(PU-CET(UG)) which is held in end of month April. Then 75% test score and 25% 12th marks are combined and merit list is formed. Then department or subject in which one is interested is allotted according to the rank. I joined it because it is considered as one of the great universities on India. Also teaching faculty is very helpful and have tonnes of knowledge about their subject.

There were around 30-35 faculty members in Chemistry department. Most of them were of Professor designation and each of them is holding atleast on post doctoral degree. Also as said earlier, faculty is always ready to help out the students, then it may a problem related to studies or a personal problem.
