Remarks

Hostel and infrastructure is not well maintained owing to the funding issues from the government. The government does not think much about the welfare of the students as they recruit at very less frequency which is forcing the students to look for alternatives in other states.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course curriculum was very much relevant. Tracking programmes and study circles helped us to think out of the box. We had a few educational visits in order to explore the opportunities in the outside world. We were taught in the best possible manner.

Placement Experience

2

Unfortunately no campus placement was there when we graduated but the institution is taking necessary steps off late and slowly incorporating this culture. Unfortunately we don't have much of a demand in our territory and we always depend of opportunities available in adjacent states. Or we often resort to higher studies in order to increases the chances of getting employed.

College Events

4

We celebrate cultural events which incorporate a variety of events such as rangoli, flower carpet, technical events, quiz, skits, dance, fashion show etc. But they are mostly intracollegiate. They also conduct sports day which involves various games and field and track events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since the college is run by a govt society, the fees was very much affordable. There was no option for management seat when I used to study. The fees was very much within the capacity of a normal working class. The college absolutely provides transparency in fee details.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes the college presents the students with scholarship facilities. But only people belonging to certain category can avail them as it is funded by the government directly.

Campus Life

3

The college comprised of students from different parts of the country such as Goa, Nagaland, Bhutan, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Kashmir etc. There was a vast cultural diversity present among the students. The gender ratio was predominated by the boys. The campus life was very pleasant and not much politics was visible.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Since I was a day scholar during my UG days. I am not able to comment much on hostel. There were separate hostels for boys and girls with separate mess. It had a gym for workouts and the basic amenities. The average rentals were around 10000 per year and the mess fee was around 3000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network and senior students are very much useful in terms of referral and career guidance. They serve as a important nodes through which we make efforts to go up in our career ladder.

Admission

I got admitted into this course unexpectedly. I always wanted to do something different so I decided to venture into a new Avenue. I got admission through a centralized admission procedure based on school exam marks. This was the only veterinary institute in this territory.

Faculty

4.5

The facilities are the cornerstone of this institute. They are very knowledgeable and they are always committed in developing students and serving them with love and affection. The lecturers were alumni of reputed institutions in the country and thus they possesses a good grip over their subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because, after MBBS, I feel BVSc & AH is the best. It provides you with more opportunities in varying sectors and it is also very fun. And if you love animals then it will be more fun for you. The faculty in our college is very good, all of them are very supportive and each of them has utmost knowledge in their field. Our Physiology and LPM HOD have even published a book on understanding farm animals. Exams and everything are timely and in this course, you will have to study regularly otherwise you will fail. Personally, I feel it's tough than MBBS as you will have to study more than one species in complete detail ( Ox horse dog fowl pig rabbit).
