College Review

The college is the best in India. I'm so glad that I'm here. The faculty is friendly and the rules are very fair. There is no bad I can think of about my college. The best college where you come to know the status of animal lives, their behavior and how superior they are to humans.

Duration of this course is total five and half years including 1 year of compulsory internship, study curriculum is quite busy including 17 different clinical and non clinical subjects, practical have separate credits and being done well in institute. As Exam pattern is concerned 2 internals and a year end board exam is conducted.

Every year college conducts a cultural event named as ZEST wherein student council organizes various events such as dance competitions, fancy dress etc. It is a 3 day program in which students can showoff their hidden talents, the program concludes with fashion show and awarding miss and mr. RIVER title. Besides this sports day is celebrated every year, students actively participate in various sport events. Various quiz competitions and experts talks are conducted throughout the year.

Total intake is 80 students per batch. Fee structure is different for students selected under different quotas. College fee is 27000 per year. For NRI students or self financed students have to pay 5.5 lakhs every year. Fee is quite feasible for every aspirant.

Student loan with zero percent interest is provided under government educational loan service. College doesn't provide any scholarships or loan for educational fee. Study scholarship for best outgoing student or subject toppper is awarded at the end of curriculum

All our labs are well equipped with basic necessary amenities, though many instruments are not in working condition. We are allowed to handle every equipment and carry out necessary experiments. Extracurricular activities includes NSS camps, vaccination drives, awareness programs for farmers etc. Which provides useful practical knowledge for building vet student. Various sports like basketball, cricket, football, volleyball, table tennis, badminton, handball tournament's ect. are conducted throughout the year in professional ways.

Yes I do stay in hostel. Hostel is provided with all basic facilities. But infrastructure is in very bad condition. There are many blocks for mens hostel and one room is allocated for 2 students. Mess facility is handled by students only. Bathrooms and toilets are in worst condition and daily cleaning of campus is not carried out regularly.

College alumni are spreaded out in diverse places and profession. College have an alumni association which organises various programs, talks about professional life, and also carry out fund raising programs. Seniors are out next teachers, they provide helpful hand in all our study aspects, they are kind and helps us to lead a successful path. Notes and study materials are important things we get from our seniors, their guidance and bonding in important in carrying our successful professional service.

Based on merit list as per 12th board exam percentage under goa government quota, 10th board marks were also considered. Under goa government veterinary studies quota 5 seats for goan students are allocated in this college in pondicherry, I was on 4th merit and got selected.

We have the best of experienced and senior most professors, they are blessed with ample of quality knowledge and teaching experience. Most of the professors have written books on their particular subjects and also published many articles. Overall there is a friendly relationship between faculty and students. They are ever ready to clear any doubts of students.
