Remarks

It's neither good nor bad. Rather weird. There are many structures in the college which we found really absurd and useless. We still crack jokes on them and have not yet been able to figure their purpose of existence yet.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum which we studied perhaps is upgraded now. The subjects were adept according to the specification of the stream. Although it was not that research relevant but the training provided prepares one for the industry. Frequent classes and sessions were conducted for industry-level knowledge, behavior, and etiquette development.

Placement Experience

4

Internships were not that essential during those days. But campus placement preparation was given high importance. Many domain-specific skills development and training session were frequently organized. Mock interviews were conducted to prep the students for the real rounds.

College Events

4

The major event is the techno-cultural festival CELEGANCE. This is organized every year and celebrated with huge pomp and show. To second that, the sports meet is also held every year. Many other workshops, talk shows, seminars, and competitions are held throughout the academic session based on the permissible situation. Another big event which we started in the year 2015 for the first time, the SRISHTI Short film festival, gained huge popularity and applause. Thus it has now been included in the academic calendar list of events. It's a huge event since it invites filmmakers from all around to participate and showcase their creativity.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure might be categorized as expensive in my opinion. Though there is a breakdown of the structure, at times it doesn't seem so worthy. If at all such an amount is being charged, then few more facilities should also be included in it like library fees, society fees, laboratory stationery, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

There is a state scholarship scheme that can be availed by the native students of that state only. It is granted to the meritorious students for the duration of the course. Application sent for this is through the college and with sufficient documents. Selected students get the scholarship.

Campus Life

4.5

An almost equal number of students of both the gender is found in the college. Often students from different states come to study here so it provides a great platform for cross-cultural communication. Workshops ranging from robotics to coding to circuit design are organized. Also, many cultural events like street play, DJ war, dance, and several others are organized which provides a great platform to enjoy campus life. Above all the campus itself with its green cover, variety of trees, rock structure, and artificial ponds are a great place in which one cannot avoid bunk few classes and create some lifetime memories.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

No. I was a day scholar. But hostels were provided separately for boys and girls and were twin sharing rooms. Have no idea about rent and other facilities as I never availed of those. But as per my knowledge, the rooms were good.

Alumni/Alumna

Having such a vast number of students divulging into different domains of work creates a great network. The Junior-senior bond is quite strong pertaining to the events life fresher's party and farewell party. I personally have a huge network and connection with my seniors as well as juniors which have proved to be helpful at many times.

Admission

During my time, we had a state-based entrance exam OJEE and the score is recognized by all the colleges for admission. The forms for the exam start around October and exams are conducted after completion of all higher secondary board exams. Results and mock counseling is followed up subsequently.

Faculty

3

Since the curriculum was quite old and known the faculties were pro at imparting exam-specific lectures. The art of kindling the inquisitive nature amongst students was limited to few faculties but nonetheless, everyone gave equal importance to the classroom lecture and character building. The plethora of events organized in the institution provides ample opportunity for one who is willing to grow.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs
