Remarks

Management is same as every where. You will have a lot to complain. But one thing for sure you will have a great overall experience and learning.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course is good but you have to study 7 subjects in 1st and 2nd semester. Labs were good but having three exams in a semester was a bit difficult task. you have to appear in 2 internals and a semester exam to qualify.

Placement Experience

5

We can join as non-PG junior residents in the associated hospitals and work as medical officers. The pay is good. Most students opt to prepare for postgraduation and get selected via entrance exam.

College Events

3.5

Inquivesta' is a 3-day annual extravaganza, hosted by the students of IISER Kolkata. Having seen a massive rise in the scale, footfall and level of the fest in the past 9 years, we are zealously gearing up towards the tenth edition; 'Inquivesta-X'. The fest is meant for school and college goers in every field. Being a science institute of national importance; we have a lot of 'science-incorporated fun' events, adventure-themes, 'pronites', and of course sports & culturals. The tenth edition, is scheduled for 20th, 21st and 22nd March of 2020. These dates have been chosen strategically, keeping in mind the accessibility, weather and exam timings in target schools and colleges. Inquivesta X will host a plethora of exciting events, yet again. From keynote speeches by eminent personalities to enthralling cultural performances by renowned artists, Inquivesta has it all. To know more, have a look at our detailed brochure and feel free to contact us if you have any queries.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very feasible. Only 30000 for complete year fee. This includes 6k hostel fee. Mess expenditure is around 3k per month. In internship you are payed with stipend which is around 7200 per month to help with basic necessities. 10000 security money is deposited during admission which can be redeemed later.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I didn't. But there are options for scholarship for BPL and minority students which is provided annually by govt.

Campus Life

2.5

Gender ratio is approx 1 is to 1. We have sports stadium, amphitheatre, Indoor games. They are avg I would say. We used to go out to hangout. Environment of college very safe and free from any kind of discrimination. Various workshops are held every year.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel Rooms are much better. But its depends upon the students living in the room. Bathrooms are clean but with bad smells all students of the Institute is mandatory to accept the accomodation in Hostel room. Three Months of hostel room rent need to pay at the time of admission. The room rent is varies month to month from 4500/- to 5500/-.

Alumni/Alumna

They are very helpful. Alumni help each other every time one is in need. People show great unity and contacts with seniors and juniors are very great.

Admission

I started preparing for entrance exam in 12th. I had to take drop of 1 year after which I got selected via UP CPMT. although I wanted a college in Delhi but had to satisfy with Meerut due to merit. There are 3 rounds of counselling after the entrance exam results. I got selected in 1st counselling.

Faculty

3.5

Some are good, some are ok. Mostly you are own your own to learn. Seniors help a lot. The junior residents play a great role in teaching and guiding you. Teachers are otherwise experts in their field with a lot of experience backing them. Their clinical skills are great but can't say so about the teaching skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mbbs is very well reputed course. It makes you a well equipped indian medical graduate helping you aquire required medical skills to work in society as clinician. It really takes into account all the challeneges that one has to face in society as a clinician. The university exams are held on a yearly basis which include both theory and practical exams. The exams are good to pass if one studies daily. The syllabus is vast but with the help of seniors you can easily ace it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Current MBBS curriculum is purely clinical based and hence clinical postings are crucial. It is mandatory to attend them and strict actions are taken if you fail to do so. This curriculum prepares you for your NEETpg or NExT. Exams held are semester 1,2 and pre professionals and then professional. Timing 3 hours and difficulty level is okay. Mostly questions come from important topics.
