Entrance Preview

Scored 22000 rank in CET and choose this college as it was offering EC course for my ranking. Infrastructure is below average.Administration is good.College transport (Busses) available.Remote place from City.Average coaching, not bad. Important thing was there is no college placement assistance

Course Curriculum Overview

2

3 internals. Out of which best of two would be considered and average would be taken.Lectures are good and do teach well. Labs exams are bit tough due to last minute coaching. Lab internals were delayed a bit as there was a syllabus change for us and therefore new equipment's were to be installed.

Internships Opportunities

No internship. Project was done outside and the college was not well equipped to do the project in last semester due to lack of equipment.

Placement Experience

0.5

There was off-college placement assistance provided for our senior batch (2005), but when we were passing out there was no placement assistance provided. However some training was provided for interviews.

College Events

1

Annual days celebrations are held. Only students in our college used to celebrate.Sports used to be organised by students, cricket, basket ball and football.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees were as per CET rules. No extra charges were collected. Anually 18K should have been paid. Exam fees, certificates charges extra. Late payments fine would be applied but not too stringent

Fees and Financial Aid

Some of my friends had taken loans. No scholarships were provided. Mine was financed without loan.

Campus Life

1

Not much campus life. Annual days celebrations are held. Only students in our college used to celebrate.Sports used to be organised by students, cricket, basket ball and football.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

Hostel facilities are OK. Not so good and a\not so bad. For boys: If outside bangalore better to stay in hostel or individual houses near college due to transportation issue.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are supportive. Raging was more in hostels and not much in college.Friends are in touch through social networks. College doesn't organise any meet.

Exam Structure

Exams and labs were not so hectic. Students are never pressurized if they are not performing well. however lectures used to motivate them.

Faculty

2

Faculty was average Labs are OK Below average college. No placement assistance. Lectures and management is good. Internals are conducted on time. Lab internals were delayed a bit as there was a syllabus change for us and therefore new equipment's were to be installed. Old equipment were outdated.

Placement Experience:

RIT's placement scenario is very good, even for the most unpopular branches such as Civil Engineering. Starting from the 7th semester, students are allowed to participate in campus recruitment, and companies come to the campus for the entire final year. The major recruiting companies are L&T Construction, Shapoorji Pallonji, Brigade Group, Sobha Developers, Atkins, PWD, and Infosys for the non-core sector. Civil students on an average get ?5–6 LPA as salary, and the highest offer is usually in the range of ?12–15 LPA, depending on the company and the position. Almost 70–80% of Civil students are placed, while some of them go for higher studies or government examination.Site engineer, design engineer, planning engineer, survey engineer, and trainee engineer are the core positions that are offered. Also, non-traditional roles in IT and consulting can be taken up by those who are not interested in core engineering profiles.I will first acquire some work experience in the industry after completing my degree and then will pursue a master's degree in structural engineering to gain further specialization.

Students become elegible for placements from 7th sem onwards but we are encouraged to do internship before final itself. Most of the companies that come here aren't t1 or even t2. Highest probably would be 12L only if the student is exceptional but most would secure a package 4-6. And the percentage of students getting placed is <50%
