Remarks

Oberall its good but not an idol it is. Its not an prime choice for student to take admission but seriously If you want live in kurukshetra and have friends whome with you can enjoy them its the best three years of life.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum is in accordance with Council of Architecture. The curriculum is specially designed to help students come up as Architects in india whereas if continuing work or pg abroad the curriculum lags behind.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placements and job opportunities are not as good as it used to be for engineering students, bit personally architecture students do not prefer campus placements as we choose our firm based on our linking and preferences.

College Events

3

For the past two years the college has been celebrating annual cultural, other than that multiple seminars, functions do take place regularly. For architecture students regular talks and seminars from famous architects takes place throughout the year

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is separated into tuition fee and exam fees. Tuition fees covers tuition costs, food costs, bus costs for the entire year. Food is provided twice a day for day scholars and thrice for hostellers. Food is a part of the tuition fee and is not optional. Food is of really good quality

Fees and Financial Aid

No knowledge about loans from college but I have taken an educational loan separately from another bank and the process has been easy. But as far as concerned from the college I have no details about loans.

Campus Life

3

Extracurricular activities are encouraged to an extent where it doesn't affect academics. Architecture students have a wider exposure to extracurricular activities compared to any other departments this personally I don't have too many concerns but at times extra curriculur activities are also condemned, depends on the profeesor handling.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels with a capacity to hold more than 15000+ boys and 10000+ girls are built, with capacity I'd 4 to 6 per room. Air conditioning is also available. Since I'm not a hosteller there is no further comments I can shed on this topic, thus I do not have details about fee or quality of the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni are helpful when it comes to academics and work, there are good alumni who helps their juniors even after leaving the college and when travelling to outer states or countries for work and internship

Admission

Architectre was the profeesion I had decided to proceed with and the reason for choosing sathyabama was due it's recognition on NASA India(National Association of Students of Architecture) I entered by appearing for the entrance exam and attending the sathyabama counseling.

Faculty

2

Majority of the staffs are not interested in teaching but rather see it as a burden they have l, if even a bit of interest is shown from the staff the college will become the best college rather than being one of the best. Qualification wise the bar is set at 50/50

Placement Experience:

Students can become eligible in their 8th semester which is also called PPO (Pre Placement Offer) where the number of students getting placed are very low or the students can get their placements in their 10th semester. L&T, Sanjaypuri architects, Zaha Hdid architects are the few companies that I know. In general there are 10-20 offers made. The highest package offered is 18LPA and average is 5.5LPA as per the latest data. 78-85 percent students get placed and the other 15 percent opt for further studies. Currently I'm not sure with my plan but I may do master degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The duration of the course is 5 years with 10 semesters in total. I think this is good period of time to learn architecture. Each semester has five theory subjects and one design subject. The design subject deals with designing buildings with given brief without any plagiagrism. The other five theory subjects are quite easy other than the subjects that involves maths, which requires practice and learning. all the nine semesters are quite conceptualized, whereas the internship semester gives an idea on how the real world of architecture industry works. Though the syllabus is old all over india, it might be for betterent if the practical learning is involved in all semesters.
