Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

As far as the syllabus and course curriculum of the B.com general program is concerned holistic coverage and comprehensive structurization is what that is seen. University has defined guidelines and on that guidelines the syllabus comprises various subject from Accountancy to Management and Entrepreneurship as a part of it. Examinations are conducted in a semester wise fashion with internal test and evaluations being held from time to time.

Placement Experience

2

Placement is not good in our college. College has recruitment cell or the placement guidance cell however it is not able to ensure good placement rate in the institute. Internship is a part of the course where by one has to receive training and knowledge of how the work is done in the industry and for that one has to make arrangements at their own level.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees of the college is manageable and is not too high to put burden on the pocket. For the three year programme the total fees is around Rs 15,000. Rs 5,000 is required to be submitted at the start of each academic year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Odisha state government runs various schemes through which scholarship and financial assistance are provided to meritorious and needy students provided that they are the original resident of the state of Odisha. Various commercial sector banks from private and public sector extend scholarship to students as well.

Campus Life

3

Extra curricular activities are mostly limited to sporting and fitness related activities in our college. In terms of event celebration common events like the Republic Day and Independence Day and annual fest are celebrated on campus. Infrastructure wise the college has the required minimum necessary facilities that one needs to pursue their education with ease.

Admission

Admission to our college are done based on the percentage of marks obtained by the student at the 10 + 2 or equivalent level. I scored 82 percentage in the class 12th board examination on the basis of that percentage I made an application for the B.Com program. Once again application was accepted normal procedure of admission followed and I was granted the mission in the program. This is the only decent graduate college in my district I had no option but to opt for it.

Faculty

3.5

The professor in our college have a good knowledge of the discipline and have a cooperative and helpful nature. Though there is a rush for completing syllabus in them they ensure that queries of the students are answered as far as possible.

Placement Experience:

In our college, final-year students are eligile for campus placements. While i don't recall the specific companies that visited, one of my friends interviewed with Axis Bank and got selected with a package of around 2.4 lakh. The exact percentage of students are placed and details of average or highest packages are unclear to me, but the placements process provides opportunities of those actively seeking jobs. After completing my degree, I plan to pursue an independent career rather that seeking a traditioinal job placement.
