Course Curriculum Overview

The structure is decently organised. Exams come all at once and that week is a hectic one. The college lacks infrastructure so conducting even a small event is a tough task. Everything is mismanaged and the admin doesn't seem equiped and fully capable of handling exam schedules and processes on campus

Placement Experience

Average stipend was around 20k-22k per month. Good number of top companies come on campus for both recruitment and internship. The average package has increased although the major recruitment slowed down.

College Events

Genesis is the annual Fest. Jubilate is the annual alumni meet. Lack of infrastructure makes all events a chaotic experience on campus. It gets tough to manage and with limited help from the management makes things worse for the students handling and organising the activities.

Hostel Facilities

It's not good to be honest and is managed by third party contractor near the college area. The electricity bills are excruciating on pocket monthly expenses. No one to oversee that goes inside the hostel.

Admission

I managed to clear the flagship course cut-off and the interview itself was impressive. The interview panel consisted of two faculty and 1 industry mentor and they were talking business and trying dig into my thought processes.

Faculty

There has a change in faculty over the last 18 months. Many experienced and good faculty and shifted to other B-schools and the new faculty don't seem that promising. The new ones are well qualified in terms of their degrees but lack the basic teaching and people skills.

Compass provide a place the highest package our were born is 20 lakhs per annum from the Fite department and the average placement gets around 8 to 10 laks and the minimal is7-8 lakhs. The placement is good in sales and finance department. Most of the companies comes for sales and Management. You can also offer for the finance.

Curriculum is highly Economics focused hence the name Business Economics. Its a plus point for people coming from Economics background however others struggle a bit. All in all one needs to study really hard.

Till the time of writing, I am in 3rd month of my 5 month last semester and in my class about 60% of my batch is placed. You have to submit a student body fee of 40000 a year to be eligible for taking placements as this help out in having events organized outside the college. As there is no placement cell provided by DU, our student body is mostly run by students. Currently highest package offered was about 27 lpa and roles that have come are management trainee, Junior Data scientist, risk analyst etc.

The university provide both the internship and placements opportunities to the students. For summer internships the companies start visiting the campus after 4-5 months from joining the college and everyone is eligible for that.
