Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Talking about the course curriculum I can say that it is balances the management aspects of the course with those of the requirements of the healthcare industry and present it in a form that is lucid and beautifully integrated as a master's level program. The University has opted for a semester wise system of examination whereby every six month a semester examination is conducted making it a total of 4 semester examination in the 2 year duration of the course.

Placement Experience

2.5

In terms of placement or jobs a distance learning student has to put out some effort to get things done. University through its regional centre can offer academic knowledge and grant a degree and for placement you have to do things yourself. Similar things are true when it comes to getting internship done. Since I was working aspirant I got the letter of internship from my firm only.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Talking about the fees of the university one thing I can say for sure that University might be among the top when it comes to offering MBA at lowest cost even considering the distance program. The fee for the two year program is just Rs 25, 000. The fee has to be submitted twice that is at the time of taking admission and at the start of the new academic year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are available from the side of State Government of Tamilnadu for domicile Student of the state. I myself applied for the scholarship that are granted to students from socially and educationally backward classes of society and got it sanctioned. The central government also offers scholarship and one of my batchmate got scholarship through the central government scheme. Educational loans are also offered by banks like the State Bank of India.

Campus Life

3

Not much to talk about extra-curricular activities or event celebration as these are something you can expect to be well aware of if you are a full time student. For a correspondence student the relationship is restricted to the regional centres and study. However the assessment of infrastructure I made based on my experience at the regional centre where are studying I can say that infrastructure wise University is sound and good.

Admission

I was looking for a good option to pursue MBA from correspondence since my CAT score was not good to go for regular course. I applied to this university based on my CAT score and got the admission. I Applied for the admission online on the official website of the university. The only reason for choosing this university for my distance program was that it was offering MBA in healthcare management specialisation which I was looking for and was not able to find.

Faculty

3.5

Not much of an interaction is there with the faculty is I am not a frequent visitor to the regional centre of University where classes for distance education student are held. Since I am doing job so I attend classes in the weekends. Based on the classes that I attendant I can say that the faculty is quite good. The best part is that they have the knowledge of the domain that is not only the management but also the healthcare one as well.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are decent, especially when one talks about its authenticity and compares it to a lot of colleges in the country. We are associated with some good names like EY, Asian Paints, SBI, Vedanta, etc. The mean and median hover around 8.5 - 9.5 LPA mark. Last Highest: 15 LPA and Lowest: 5.5 - 6lpa. Roles offered may not be the best, but they are decent too.
