I feel KC College of Engineering and management studies and Research is the best college in Thane region.
Course Curriculum Overview
I took admission in Computer Engineering. Every semster there was 2 term tests and at the end of the semester there was an end sem university examination. Before end sem exam you need to appear in the viva voce of the subjects which has laboratory work.
Placement Experience
Placement at the college is really good. From my batch, students had got offer letters from all the blue-chip companies. TPC of the Collage provides training for every domain before the commencement of the placement season. I was the students coordinator of TPC so I know the efforts college has put in for the campus hiring.
College Events
The college has many wings/cells under extracurricular activities. like ECell for a startup. The college has Rotract, NSS, WDC, CSI Students chapter, IETE students chapter etc. Every single wing offers huge learning if you get involved in this during your study.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Considering the market scenario and the services offered by the college the fee is acceptable. Many government or financial institutions have provisions to offer education loan for your studies. These loans are easy to avail and can be repaid once you secure offer letter.
Fees and Financial Aid
After taking admission at this college I had availed education loan from a government bank. It was 80% of the fee. The process was quite easy.
Campus Life
Campus life was a blend of learning and fun. Not only scheduled academics but we also participated in many events in and out of the campus. Events like International conference, hackathon, tech quiz, sports, technical debate cultural events etc. it was a great leaning all together.
Alumni/Alumna
The college has a very strong connection with alumni. College organizes annual alumni meet at very large scale.
Admission
One has to appear in the MHCET to take admission in this college. The test is conducted by Maharashtra Govt once a year in the month of April - May. Once you clear the exam with a certain percentage then you need to appear at CAP for college allocation.
Faculty
Faculty members are very supportive of the department. They actually nurture you rather teaching you. apart from regular teaching they take efforts in conducting training/ preparatory sessions for campus placement, higher studies, PSU (at entry-level). Non-teaching are also very supportive.
