Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is in line with the nationally defined structure for Architecture course in India. Exams are held in a semester wise manner and in total there are 10 semesters in the 5 year duration of the course. Both the practical and theoretical evaluations are done as a part of the semester examinations. Before the end semester examinations evaluations and tests are conducted.

Placement Experience

3.5

As far as placements are concerned I can say that the placement rate of our college is good. Good number of companies visit campus for placement each year. Placement rate of last batch was 70%. One can also explore job opportunities off-campus as many of our seniors have got good placement on their own effort. Internship opportunities are not provided by the college and one has to manage the internship on his own.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee of the college is not too much high and can be said as feasible in regards to the fee for the private colleges. The total fee for the 5 year course stands at around 5.5 to 6 lacs. Early fees for the course comes around Rs 55, 000. To this you can add another expenses like the hostel fee or the travelling charges in case you are opting for day to day commutation.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are offered in two way that is from the state government and the central government. The State Government scholarship is for student who are domicile of the state and are from categories like the economic weaker section are the reserved category. The scholarship for minority students is also offered by the central government apart from the national scholarship portal scholarship. Educational loan can be availed from private and public sector bank to avail the facility the central government has a dedicated platform in face of vidyalakshmi portal.

Campus Life

3.5

College organises various events like the annual megafest, sports based competition, cultural competition, debate competition extra on regular basis. In terms of infrastructure I can say that it is one of the good college for architecture in the city. All the basic necessities are available which are to be there in a college for this respective course.

Admission

I appeared in the JEE Main paper 2 and qualified it. After qualifying JEE Main paper 2 I sat for the counselling through which I was allotted seat in this college. I opted for the college as this is one ground architecture College city of Bengaluru. One has to complete the procedural formality to get the admission letter after the grant of the seat through counselling.

Faculty

4

Faculty of our college is well versed in their respective discipline. It is a mix of both experienced and young teacher. The focus of the teachers is on imparting technical and conceptual knowledge as this course demands this to be inculcated in the student rather than going for rote learning pedagogy. The faculty is also receptive towards our queries after the class time.

Architecture is completely a solo thinking work we can work in groups as well but if a structure is designed by a single architect then it has a taste of that particular person but if its a group then all will be mixed and have different kind of brains giving different ideas soo an individual can manage even if he doesnt get a placement

Course Curriculum Overview:

You'll indulge in a lot of painting and are related stuff. Well since Architecture is not only about art, there are subjects which will use up your brain cells. You also get to go to study trips too! The ride is not smooth- everyday would be a submission day , everyday would be a love-hate relationship with the course. Internal reviews, external reviews, viva and jury, presentation and assignments, written exams...theyre enough to keep you busy throughout. Since its Affiliated to vtu, the system does seem not so updated to date. You cannot expect to have a month of holidays after each Semester too. Dont dream of having a pleasant vacation break.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is more condensed that other colleges', so it makes it easier to tackle multiple things at once. The course prepares us for real world applications through their dual internship program, which is a strong point in their curriculum. If the course in itself had more real world applications, instead of very superficial ideas, it would be more helpful The exams are a hurdle, but it comes with the rigor of the course, and it is something students end up adapting to over the course of 5 years.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you check with other colleges the approach to the curriculum is different and more fun. The process of learning is more fun and appealing making us satisfied of what we have done at the end. Sometimes we don't get how the teachers are expecting us to do our assignments but we figure it out some how. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-sem and end-sem).

Since our HOD changed this year, I'm not sire about when the placements are available, most probably would be for the 5th year students so 9th sem onwards. Not sur3 about which companies either, highest package would be 8000 I'm guessing, we don't get paid much. My plan is to switch courses, this was absolutely useless to me :)
