Remarks

The College always places high on rankings of national universities. The undergraduate business program is particularly strong.

Entrance Preview

I didn't had any entrance examination. So got direct admission to the college had extra two subject related to Commerce.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Curriculum was quite challengeable because non-commerce student when you get admission to Commerce had to study hard on some subjects. I had put extra efforts and took tuition for that subject.

Placement Experience

1

When we were studying we didn't had job opportunities. No companies had visited to our college. Later we passed out I heard some companies have come for placements.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For registration which takes place in February students are expected to pay the deposit amount of Rs 5000. This fee forms part of the tuition costs and is therefore not an additional charge. Fees for a full year course are Rs 3500 and 2250 for a half course on first and second year level. At third year level the fees are Rs 3600 for a full year course the same rate as the full-time courses. This amount excludes a note fee which varies from course to course. There are no additional charges for exams or the use of the Wits Plus computer lab. Textbooks are at your cost and although they may seem expensive they are tools for life. They will cost between Rs 1000 and Rs 500 per course.

Campus Life

4

Working out at the gym, jamming with the Music Club celebrating festivals on campus these are where bonds are formed networks are built and memories are created.

Hostel Facilities

3

Every hostel has its own mess and canteen facilities with food available even after 2 am. All rates regulated by institute. Yes you can get many varieties of non veg too. You can eat from any other hostel canteen or mess. As of now we have 16 hostels in our campus. Most hostels have their own GYM and common GYM in SAC students activity center. Alumni/Alumna

Exam Structure

The course will have six semesters conducted on the revised pattern using credit based semester system and grading pattern. The placement cell in my college is okay they do get few good companies for campus recruitment and they guide us thoroughly how and when we should apply for placement they do conduct some sessions and bring people to guide us with everything. The percentage of students getting placement is 50 or 60 percentage. My plan after degree is to continue pursuing acca and then finding a job abroad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
