An amazing university.

One negative side is that there is no placements and the other is that is not events held in the university. Other than that, it's a beautiful university which provides all the amenities and needs of the students. Also education at a recognised level through skilled teachers and professors.

Journalism in a broad sense is related to news reporting. On the other hand, mass communication deals with different mediums of media to spread messages, information or entertain masses. Since, I didn't get English honours in my preferable university, I opted for this course which was my second option.

No. This university strictly provides no placements or job opportunities for its students. As long as I know and I have seen for the past 1year, there hasn't been any internship and no companies visited till date. However, there are always numerous opportunities available for the students.

Most of the events are held by the students of the university. So, there can be functions related to dance, music, art and creativity. Common functions take place such as Fresher's party and farewell party.

Fee structure is Rs.18,125 per year since Mass communication is itself an expensive course. This university provides a full package regarding this course and more or less this is fee structure of this course in every university you search or decide to study in.

In this university, scholarships are grant-in-aid to students who wants to pursue education at The Global Open University, Nagaland. Other than this option, one who finds the course fee expensive, can avail for an educational loan in their own banks which is a government scholarship and certain eligibility criteria needs to be fulfilled.

Students are taken on educational tour. Games are played within the campus for keeping up the energy of the students. Laboratories are present for different departments which are fully equipped and put in use. Workshops are held on various topics to enhance the knowledge of the students.

Obviously, there are two hostels - one for boys and the others for girls, which includes providing food, water for drinking and other uses, electricity, security and internet facility. The charges for hostels is separate from the course fee.

The alumni network is properly maintained and it forms an important part of this university. Membership to the alumni require certain criteria to be fulfilled. And the alumni of this university, is always active. Seniors students play an important part by cooperating with their juniors.

Those candidates who wants to apply for undergraduate level courses, diploma and advanced diploma courses needs to pass the 10+2 examination or equivalent exam with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. Selection is purely based on merit in the previous qualifying examination and the deposition of proper fees and documents.

The teachers or professors, to be specific, faculty members involves in day to day discussions to enhance the knowledge of the students more. There is a normal relationship maintained between the teachers and the students and the teachers are very sincere.
