Our course design is very flexible and the course also gives us the liberty to choose what we want to major in. Some of the students can also do double majors, that is choosing two subjects as their majors. We love this concept and is very suitable.

Placement Experience

Our college does not provide any internship opportunities for Arts students, nor there is any placement drive for the same course. The students pursuing the Bachelors of Science degree might have information regarding the same.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very much flexible in terms of paying the college as they have many options for educational loan. The fee figure is averagely priced and it it not that expensive as well. The fees they ask from us are totally worth paying.

Campus Life

Our college conducts seminars, educational trips and tours, workshops very frequently which helps students enhance their learning. It is a good experience for the teachers as well. We have a huge library housing thousands of literary books to read.

Admission

The admission process for Bachelors of Arts course is purely based on your 12th grade examination marks. You need to fill the admission form and verify your documents in the college admission department after which a list of selected students will be displayed in the college.

The teachers in our college are very kind and supportive. They know the difficulties of every student and are considerate towards our issues. They have been very helpful and guide us through our academic doubts.

Campus Life @ Central University of Karnataka

Likes

The campus was too good in its environment.
The exposure was too good with good library facilities.
We can socialise with Pan Indian exposure

Dislikes

Hostel facilities was not well maintained
Hostel food was not that much good sometimes
College was situated in a rural place, it was so hard to travel.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The BA English curriculum at the Central University of Karnataka is comprehensive and academically relevant. The course covers British Literature, American Literature, Indian Writing in English, Literary Theory, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies, providing students with a strong foundation in language and literature. The interdisciplinary approach under NEP and the availability of electives were among the factors that influenced my decision to choose this course.

A honest Review of KJC

Likes

Well maintained Campus with almost 4 blocks and a lot of canteens
knowledgeable faculty and a lot of interesting and practical subjects
A lot of fests and programs almost every day

Placement Experience:

We have a separate placement cell, and everyone interested can join in for the same. We have students placed in target, Deloitte, Accenture and other companies, both domestic and international. Students in the final year can be eligible for the campus placements.

Dislikes

Fee is not worth to the college they are money minded
The behaviour of principal is not good towards students
80 persent over there are Malayalam students

Likes

The quality of teaching for my course - BA Economics (Hons) is exceptional. The professors give quality time with each student to ensure concepts are clear and go beyond the surface level teaching of all concepts.
Every student gets their own mentor, who is a professor within the University who will help you guide yourself through everything, ranging from academic difficulties to personal grievances. There are regular sessions scheduled with these mentors..
There is plenty of freedom in the university. Unlike other university's there is no strict dress code or unreasonable rules for the students to follow. The campus allows each indivitual to be true to themselves.

Dislikes

The campus is very far from the city, making it difficult to have any sort of weekend get aways to the city tiresome. There are very few places around the campus that will let you experience city life.
The university does not encourage competitive spirit festivals like youth festivals apart from sports. Hence narrowing down the avenues where students can get certificates for extra curriculars to add on to your CVs
Academic rigor can get too overwhelming sometimes and one may not get time to study for other parallel exams for masters like GMAT, CAT, GRE etc. Finding time for extra curriculars may also get difficult.

Placement Experience:

The university does have a placement team which faculy and student led. Studnets become eligible for placements towards the end of their fourth year - last semeter. Approximately 100-150 NGO's come to campus for recruiting. The university does not promote private firms for placement but students can apply indivitually. The average pay is 20 Lakh per year. Many students after undergraduation opt for higher studies, so is my plan. But most of the master's students opt for placement and 98% - 99% get placed into NGO in top positions. I plan to pursure a masters degree after my undergraduation, preferably in economics.

Insight into KJC by a real life student

Likes

The campus is a plus. It's really clean and green. They really take care of the cleanliness of the Campus. As for the girls to boys ratio, in my class there are more girls than boys. Idk much about college overall.
I like my professors a lot. But it's all about luck. I got nice ones.
We have LMS in college. So we are provided with notes and syllabus online that we can use anytime we want.

Dislikes

The administrative office is very annoying sometimes. Just to answer one question they send the students to different offices and waste our time.
I don't understand the dress code system. I mean it's good but girls are not allowed to wear long skirt. I'm not talking about short clothes. But even long skirts are not allowed.
I would say I dislike the locality sometimes. It's not that developed so there's always something kind of construction going on which causes a lot of pollution and breathing problem specially for me with breathing issues.

Course Curriculum Overview:

We get to learn many things not because of just the syllabus and courses but also because of the national and international conferences that are held in our college. People from other colleges come in and share their knowledge with us. This experience is really good for us students. We even have expert lectures from our alumnis who give us advice on what all is required in the world outside college to earn. All these are really helpful.

I applied many colleges like RV pre university, presidency university,claret university, national pre university, vidya mandir Pre university etc and I have also confirm that RV and vidya mandir were fixed to join but after I heard about widia poorna prajna Pre university college and I visited the campus and I was very excited after returning from the college because this college have well equipped labs and classrooms, teachers, ground and good campus I did not get any rejection from any college I didn't make it there because I was not satisfied with their teaching efforts and I was not having and of my previous school friends and I thought that it would be tough to set to that environment in other colleges and the fees structure went wrong in other colleges which we were not able to afford. Good, easy for students
