Remarks

It still feel that the period we studied was the golden period as there was a tremendous change in the image of the College, the College ground was taken over under lease by India Cements for 99 years and it was maintained perfection. I played lots of matches with my team, my seniors, got to meet lots of India Cricket team members.

Entrance Preview

I just took an entrance examination conducted by the College and got selected for the course. This was a basic aptitude, knowledge and maths evaluation.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum was very good. I had Mathematics as my major and had Statistics, Accountancy and Computer Science as electives. Mathematics had the entire topics covered, whereas the other electives had majority portions been covered. In Accountancy, I did get knowledge on cost accounting, balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, income tax and other general accounting. In Statistics I had the curriculum covered with basics along with probabilities and other statistical analysis. I computer science, I did get programming languages like C, C++, Unix, VC++, VB, SQL, DOS, Windows, MS Office along with Access.

Internships Opportunities

There was generally no internship opportunities, though we got few campus recruitment happening. I still know that few of my friends had internships with the College Management, one of Senior in fact worked with the College Office in Accounts and Operations department and later got opportunity to work for the University.

Placement Experience

3.5

We got some companies coming in for campus recruitment. Starting from companies like TCS, HP in IT and ITES, we got Non IT companies like Eveready, HLL, P&G and Nestle also came in.

College Events

4.5

We had College level cultural along with the inter College festivals where our College has participated. We did regularly participate in Sarang which is held by IIT Madras.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was definitely feasible and it was as per the Govt. norms. During my days, there were Colleges which would collect donations, however our College never collected donations and the fee structure was very nominal as per the Govt. norms and it was approximately 10K per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not sure about this and I have not availed any facility, though I know the Management had few options on scholarships.

Campus Life

5

I do not have any knowledge on the hostel as I did not stay in hostel. On gender inclusuvity, College had good contribution and there were always equal opportunities, there were no sexual discrimination. We had culturals within our College and had everyone participate and had equal contributions from most of the Students.

Hostel Facilities

4

Though I have not tried the hostel facility, but I learnt from my colleagues that the facility was very good and the canteen facility and food was very good.

Alumni/Alumna

The Seniors were very helpful, unlike other Colleges, we had very little ragging and teasing. I have been connected with the College network and we alumni Students still continue to meet.

Exam Structure

Exams were really hectic, though we enjoyed it. The labs were good and fully equipped. In comparison to the autonomous structure, our College was affiliated to the University of Madras and the exam structure was on par with the other Colleges and other Universities.

Faculty

4.5

The faculties are very good, I had both regular and part time faculties, who spent maximum time with us to ensure the portions are covered completely. They went out of the classes to help us in getting our queries cleared.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm mostly interested in mathematics so I choose it. The faculty is average but it is safe for girls so the student ratio will increase. The teachers are well-trained and the teaching method is like spoon-feeding. There are 6 semesters per year to conduct 2 semesters of exams. Mathematics contains five subject papers. There is no difficulty to pass it's too easy.
