Review of IMI-K

The college is good and has all the making of a great college but the administration and the placement cell needs to ensure that the number of students they let in are quality students and ensure better placements and internship offers. The college needs to branch out into other fields like operations and Human resources.

The course curriculum is very much updated and keeping in line with the industry requirements. It has a lot of new subjects which are being taught in leading B-schools. The exam structure is in the trimester format which keeps the students busy thouroughout the year with sufficient extra curricular activities being held round the year.

Converse Finecon Marcon Confero Events held by clubs and committee of IMI-K. Multiple colleges in Kolkata participate here. Management events last a 3 days while cultural events usually last one day. Teacher's day celebration. Republic and Independence day celebration.

12,00,000 is the fee structure with an approximate additional 3,00,000 to be paid for hostel and mess charges. The charges are for hostel are sufficient however, mess charges are too much as the food provided is not sufficient. The menu is very bad and the mess rations necessary eatables like Eggs and Fruits.

My education is self financed. However, if the student so feels the need for loans then there are many Banks who have partnered with the college to provide education loans.

Campus life is not very good. The college lacks proper playground but has a decent gym and indoor sports facilities. There is a good volleyball and badminton court. However, there are too many restrictions when it comes to having interaction between students as the college restricts girl and boy interaction which seems rather regressive.

Yes I have taken hostel facility here. The hostel rooms are spacious, airy and air-conditioning has been installed. Rooms are well furnished and they have proper lighting. Toilets and washourooms are well kept and clean.

The alumni of this college are working in reputed companies like Jindal and Kantar. From Canada to Kolkata the alumni network is very vast.

I received admission to this college after I gave my CAT entrance. The interview was taken at IMI Delhi campus. I opted for this course as it has a better professional oriented course and curriculum. The course helps me to get better insight into the industry requirements.

The faculty is young and quite helpful. Professors here are qualified and dedicated. They go above and beyond the scope to provide us with relevant study material and provide help to students who require it as per their academic performance. Extra classes are also conducted by them.
