SRM UNIVERSITY (KTR CAMPUS) REVIEW

SRM UNIVERSITY is good for those who are best and BAD for those who are worse. It depends on you what you choose. SRM is just a platform on which many opportunities came it is up to you to get these opportunities.

Most important thing here is attendance which should be above 75%. In 1 semester there are 4 exam to give (CT- 1, CT- 2, MODEL, semester EXAM). In CT- 1 only 1 chapter is asked, in CT- 2 2 chapter is asked and in model exam all chapters are asked. Labs here are not good because some instrument doesn't work and systems are outdated (like- electrical lab, computer labs).

Placement and job opportunities are good if you are CSE student and pursuing B. tech from KTR campus. As many multi national companies came for placement such as Google, Microsoft, Amazon, etc. Their are also mass recruitment companies such as Infosys and Tcs. SRM doesn't provide internship but their are many clubs in SRM such as Google club, Microsoft club, etc which provide internship to those who are best.

Their are 2 main fest- AARUSH and MILAN. AARUSH is a technical fest where as MILAN is cultural fest. AARUSH is biggest technical fest related to science and technology in India, in which many celebrities and stand up comedian came. On the other hand MILAN is cultural fest related to fashion, art and dance. During the events many workshop and competition are organised related to coding, dance and gaming, etc. Also their are many other small events that are celebrated.

Fee structure depend on your SRMJEE rank, if your rank is under 10, 000 you will get scholarship upto 100%. Now if your rank is above 10, 000 you have to pay 2.5 lacs (it may vary) basic fee according to your course. If your rank is above 25, 000 then your fees is 3. 5 lacs, as your rank increases your fees will also increase.

Fee structure depend on your SRMJEE rank, if your rank is under 10,000 you will get scholarship upto 100%. No loan facility is offered by my college. But during counseling they provide you sufficient documents to get loan from other banks.

Gender ratios is 1:2 here their are more male as compared to females. Life in SRM is good until unless you didn't do drugs or drinking. Drinking and smoking inside campus is not permitted and if you caught doing drugs then you are expelled from college. Their is huge student diversity such as you can find north indian, middle indian, student from all states, Tamil people, telugu people and also you can find NRI student from different countries such as Afghanistan, Egypt, south africa, etc.

In KTR campus their are many hostels (Boys and girls) in my opinion girls hostel are best, well maintained and good infrastructure. On the other hand boys hostel are not good. Their are 3 types of rooms- 2 sharing, 3 sharing and 4 sharing. AC /Non AC rooms are also available. But Ac rooms are too expensive. You will get other free facilities such as 24x7 Wi- Fi and sports equipment. Food here is not good. If you think that it is bit expensive then you can look for flats such as estancia, abode, etc. In the price of non AC rooms you can get AC flats which is well furnished.

Alumni network is good here every month they came for motivational speechs and tell us about how to get good placement. On the other hand senior students are very helpful they can help you in many ways like in clubs, library's, etc.

First you have to fill online application form from SRM official website for registration then apply for Online Exam. SRM UNIVERSITY conduct, An exam which is called as SRMJEE, which consists of 3 parts (Physics, chemistry, maths, ) and 1 optional part (Biology). Also Their is no negative marking in exam. After declaration of result counseling process starts.

Teaching methodology is good here, here teacher care about you. Teacher are well qualified they have masters degree in thier subjects. Although faculty are good here but you can feel some kind language understanding problem because most of the faculty are Tamil speaking.
