A huge positive aspect of SRM is that it spends a lot of money on research every year and if any student or group comes up with any viable idea or project and it is approved by the department which looks into this, the project will be completely funded by the college.

The course curriculum is excellent over here. It is a perfect blend of theory, practical and other values. The exam structure is also very good. The university conducts 3 cycle tests before the semester exam to keep ourselves updated and prepared for the sem exams. The 3 rd cycle test is conducted as a model exam for the semester exam and it includes practicals as well. The Exams and labs are not that frequent as we have a well planned timetable and so it does not seem hectic.

The placement and job opportunities are the best and highest in SRM compared to other private universities. SRM has tie ups with various MNC's NGO's and other famous institutions both in India and abroad and that is an added advantage to us students as it provides more and better opportunities for us. It is mandatory in our college to have completed atleast two internships before we reach our 5th semester and our college gives us the opportunity for that. Super dream companies starting from Microsoft to Amazon have come for recruitment here with a highest package of 48 lakh per nanum.

Our college hosts various fests and events. The two main fests being Aarush and Milan. Aarush is a national level techno fest organized by our college and Milan is national level cultural fest graced by famous celebrities, singers, DJ's and much more. Aarush takes place during the even semesters and Milan during the odd semester. Both have been very successful so far with a large number of participation from students from colleges all over India.

The fee structure varies according to the course opted by the student and the rank secured by him in the SRMJEEE. The fee structure is quite above average not that high and not that low. SRM provides its students with various scholarships based on their merit in class 12 examinations, SRMJEEE rank and other recognized merits in various other fields like sports and games etc.

SRM provides various scholarships to its students. Students who secure the first 150 ranks in the SRMJEE can study in the institution totally free of cost. Students who secure a rank under 10000 will get a scholarship of one lakh. Students who secure top marks in their class 12 examinations will also be given scholarships based on their marks. Scholarships are also provided to students who have been recognized in the field of sports and games etc.

Their are tons of extracurricular activities in our college. All the amenities and equipments required for all kinds of extracurricular activities are provided by the institution. Various tournaments of all kinds of sports are conducted inside the college, many other competitons including hackathons, gaming competitions, cultural competitions etc are also conducted over here. The participation and competitive spirit in these competitions are wonderful. The gender ratio is balanced over here and their are numerous students from different countries and almost all the states of India studying over here in peace and harmony.

Our college has various clubs and committees. One such club is the DAA, which stands for the Directorate of Student Affairs. This club helps the student in the college interact with the successful alumni of the institution and learn from their experiences. The alumni also provides the students with internship opportunities and much more. Our seniors are also very friendly, supportive and helpful.

The admission to various courses in this college is based on the rank secured by the candidate in the SRMJEEE. Based on the rank the candidates will be called for counseling process and be informed about the available courses as per his rank, the fee structure and the course details. I chose SRM because the provide various specializations in the field of CSE and a particular specialisation called cloud computing intrested me and I wanted to go for it and learn about it.

The faculty in our institution are highly qualified and outstanding in their respective fields as a matter of fact. All our faculties have excelled in their respective fields and are keen on passing on their knowledge to us. They are very helpful in case of doubts and queries. They are very friendly and supportive. The English of some faculties have a Tamil accent but that doesn't hinder their dedication towards us students.
