V.V.P. Engineering College Review

The infrastructure is good enough but still there are some factors that’s need to be consider. Such as some labs are need to be renovated for proper ventilation and air conditioning. Also there should be a proper map layout of the infrastructure placed at different locations of the college.

The college is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU) and hence the syllabus is according to what the GTU has formed. The syllabus is quite good and focuses on both theoretical as well as practical aspects.

Well placement and job opportunities are good enough for mechanical engineers in the Rajkot city as it has many industrial zones and in that zones many national and international level of industries are there.

Thouroughout the year there’s a lot of activities and cultural events organised by the college and also by the clubs. Event such as GTU Techfest held last time was a zonal level in which students participated from all over the colleges of surashtra which lasts for 3 days with technical as well as non technical events in it.

Basically the fees per year is about 81000 rupees and can be paid in an instalment for every semester. The fees include tuition fees, library, sport and other expenses. There is also a transportation facility started recently for students.

There’s no loan offered by the college neither any scholarship, but there’s scholarship offered by the state government under the name MYSY (Mukhyamantri Yuva Svavlamba Yojna) that is offered to the scholar student who can avail 50% of the total fees of the college.

There are many active clubs that are handled by the students of the college. These clubs organises many cultural activities in which there’s no any gender inequality and both girls and boys works together.

The alumni network is well set. There are many seniors working in multinational companies, studying abroad for masters degree or MBA, or having their own firm. These factors helps very much for the students who just about to step into the corporate world or want to acquire more knowledge.

The admission is based on the merit list that admission council prepares on the basis of the applicants applied for. The reason to choose this college for Bachelors was because it has a good reputation in terms of quality of faculties and education in Rajkot.

The faculties are by far one of the best as compared to other colleges in the city. Moreover the associate professors and the head of departments are qualified with a doctor degree and rest other faculties are qualified at least with Masters degree.
