Remarks

College need to improve a lot in all aspects and provide better job atleast equal to the cost incurred by college.

Entrance Preview

I have given CAT exam in 2014 december got 59%ILE .I have opted for this college because with such low percentile no good college will give me admission and finance was also an issue. So this college met almost all my requirements.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course is all okay not extra ordinary. They never push students beyond their usual limits and all be it good or bad students are considered same and same communication classes are given which is too much according to me.Business problem framing, Economics, Organisational dynamics are good even foreign language is taught but then issue with foreign language is same they don't provide a separate certificate for it. It's included in course only which is a set back to some extent. They provide business foreign tour but good countries are not included which give great exposure as a management student. Not much of inter college competitions are pushed by professors and all.Attendance a big issue which must not be there because course prepare students for industry so should be bit flexible not like school with strict attendance factor.

Internships Opportunities

Yes our college do provide internship but since i was not there during orientation program so don't know much about the internship. But after my interaction with seniors i feel internships are not good and to some extent college is responsible because they are not able to prepare students for the outside world well.

Placement Experience

2

Good better than other colleges but its the biggest disappointment I had after knowing that offers of tax consultant, store keeper, inventory trainee, naukri.com sales profile which and that too with 2lac package. Highest till date is 5.52 lac by Deloitte and they picked up only 4 students which again is a bad statistics for us as junior to observe.

College Events

2.5

Maraca- its a entrepreneurial event in which students from our college as well as other colleges participate and compete and get a prize of 50k if they win the competition. Conclaves like hr, marketing, operational, finance for better exposure in this we have key note speakers, panel from industry to talk about all.Samavesh- cultural event which include many events organised by different clubs in which a money of 1lac is spent over prize open for all.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible for those who live in Delhi for outsider its bit expensive. Fee structure is around 6.5lac with different scholarship programs. But again outsiders it go till 9 lac due to hostel and other expenses. But scholarship of 1 lac, 50k,30k depending on academic records are given. CIP report competitions are also there in order to provide financial help of 30k.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not as such i am not aware of any such faculty college left this as students own business with no help at all. My friends and classmate managed it all on their won which is again a bad experience.

Campus Life

3.5

147/90 male, 57 females 10 workshop each semester for grammars, one week snakily every six months. One computer lab.8-10 Class rooms. Conference room, faculty lounge, student lounge, medical room, program office, separate lockers, library.Facilities are a lot but not utilized to optimum but they can be utilized to optimum.

Hostel Facilities

1

Hostel is bad college does not have its own hostel. Rather it is rented with just 2 floors with college for girls. Mess food is a mess to be honest enough no quality control, and facility wise also its really bad. Many students usual rent a flat just after 3 months due to bad food quality and poor hostel service electricity charges are always revised by the owner every month and college does not interfere. Students are not even given the opportunity to get a pack lunch from college canteen.

Alumni/Alumna

They are helpful and have great insights about placements, academics, faculty. They help resolve some issues at times easy to contact and discuss it.

Exam Structure

Exam is purely based on what you write and what teacher thinks about you. I mean how can a teacher give full marks to students who say always yes to their impractical ideas. While students who are practical, intelligent and has got talent are left behind.

Faculty

3

Faculty are good like another college. Encourage students to do better. But then again you get to see some lack of enthusiasm in faculty at times they are not able to give innovative ideas or challenge students skills. This is demoralising for some students at times. As a student i was also clubbed with a student not so good and that student gets all credit for my good work and efforts. So faculty is not open n innovative to give due credits which curbs the actual talent.

Placement Experience:

The university provide both the internship and placements opportunities to the students. For summer internships the companies start visiting the campus after 4-5 months from joining the college and everyone is eligible for that. The 2 month summer internship is mandatory for every student. And for final placements companies visits in the last semester of the course. The highest package for MBA is 23 lakhs and average package is approx 7-8 lakhs. The placements rate is approx 70-80% In terms of ROI college is good.

Curriculum of this college follows almost all the important aspects which are needed to step into the real world of business. In every semester there are two types of subjects. One is practical and the second is theory. In 4th semester their subjects like statistics, managerial economics and financial accounting which will really help us to understand the business world. And in theory subjects like marketing, human resource management, organizational behavior are very important. Study is mainly focused on case study basis which helps how we can apply these concepts in the real problems.

Placement Experience:

The placements of IIFT DELHI are at par with some of the old IIM's like Lucknow, Indore, Kozhikode. Iift is beast when it comes to finance and marketing. Every major international bank and every hedge fund visit the campus for recruitment. Also IIFT caters to some trade companies that only recruit from this college and don't visit any other campus in India. Last year 102 companies visited the campus , the median package was around 26 lakhs and average was around 27 lakhs. Highest package stood at 85 lakhs. And 100 percent placement was achieved. I'll be most probably going for working in a bank or a hedge fund after the degree
