Chandigarh University, great academics

I have been a part of this prestigious institute for around 2 years an am quite happy with this place. I have a great time, academics, events, and fests.

Our exam curriculum is designed so well that students like us who are not from tourism background did not feel like we weren't missing on anything or our basics and doubts weren't cleared. There is a semester system in university and the exams, as well as curriculum, is designed in such a way only. Regular exams help regular learning.

Chandigarh University has a 100% placement record so far. We have one of the best Travel and Tourism companies coming to the department for internship and placement drives. Our university has collaborations with top travel and hospitality companies.

Academics are given great importance in Chandigarh university and so is entertainment. Many events, fests are organized in the campus. We have Live Concerts, Bollywood Nights, Sports Day, Tourism Day Celebration, Youth Fest, etc where many famous celebrities come to the college campus and participate as well.

The fee structure is different for every course and I can speak for my course only. My course has a quite feasible fee structure. Students are also given scholarship facilities according to their eligibility criteria. Yes, there is total transparency not only in fee structure but also in other sections as well.

No, I haven't opted for scholarship but for an educational loan through a bank. But scholarship facility is available for students like sports scholarship according to their eligibility criteria.

I really like the campus life, there is a great student crowd. There are many academic blocks, every department has its won departmental activities for the students. Like our department has club activities, Tourism Day celebration where students actively take part and gain knowledge about the field.

Chandigarh University has a great Alumni network. We also have our seniors coming to the campus and guide us about the industry. Every year our university organized Alumni Meet in the campus.

I am currently doing MBA Tourism and Hospitality Management from UITHM department of Chandigarh University. What inspired me to take admission here was that I really wanted to explore in travel and tourism. I am basically from an engineering background but at the same time wanted to make a career in Tourism and Chandigarh university is always found to be the best in this field.

Our teaching faculty is very knowledgeable, experienced, helpful, and considerate. We are taught through presentations, lectures, activities, assignments, etc . We also have regular tests, quizzes which also help us in regular learning. Many of our teachers also have industry experience which helps us in a better understanding of the field.
