Remarks

No remarks on my college we just feel proud to be called as JOSEPHITES as it produced student who are in good position in their life and this college does not just teach to live a life but also teach how to give our services to poor and oppressed.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course curriculum was good As it has many streams in one course (BA- (HEP, EJP, JPS) to learn. And especially when it comes to the exam structure it is strict in conducting exams either the timings and invigilation are perfect. The marks are divided in to two (INTERNALS and the SEMESTER EXAMS).

Placement Experience

5

YES, St. Joseph’s evening college being an evening college most of students work in day and study in evening and they give job opportunities when we study in the college and also they have good staff in placements cell.

College Events

5

There are many events and college wanted students to bring out their talent and get a chance to live a better life in future thourough the events which are conducted in college. And for this events all departments are involved in bringing their own theme in events. Example :- kalosthava is an event where all departments in the college involve and check the talent of students in the institution.

Fee Structure And Facilities

There is a quote by nelson Mandela - “Education is the powerful weapon in the world”. College fee is absolutely feasible as st. Joseph’s evening college think about the poor and oppressed the fee structure is feasible with good educational system

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, st.joseph’s evening college helps its students with the scholarship and one could be student management scholarship and this is provided for students who are really eligible for it. This is one of the scholarships which were provided by the college.

Campus Life

4.5

Yes, st.joseph’s evening college are good in extracurricular activities and sports as it celebrates sports day in the end of every year and different events held by different departments like economic forum, humanities feast, colosseum by English department etc. college conducts many events thourough the departments.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

No, there is no hostel for the st. Joseph’s evening college as most of them live in Bangalore and work in this metropolitan city they go back home, hence there is no hostel for st. Joseph’s evening college

Alumni/Alumna

There are no comments on the alumni, but we feel proud and take them as inspiration when we see them outside for their achievements in their life and it just adds an special star to the college. And when they come to college as guest we just stare them and feel amazed. I hope I too be one of them in future.

Admission

I wanted to prepare for UPSC( union public service commission) exams and I choose to take BA(HEP) so it helps in my UPSC preparation and I choose st.joseph’s institution because the quality of teaching and its reputation is good in country and they don’t only teach but also prepare men and women for the service of others.

Faculty

5

Good products (students ) are based on the good working materials which are involved in producing the products thus St.joseph’s institutions always maintain a great faculty, they reach to the mindset of students to teach.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because of the dual degree that it has to offer, christ is one of the very few institutions that offer dual degree and allow you to explore both the subjects or gain combined knowledge of both the subjects. The curriculum is very up to date with subjects that relate to real world problems. What i like the most about my curriculum is the Learner centric approach where they divide the class into halves so that the teacher student ratio can be maintained in order to achieve full efficiency. One area of improvement can be inculcating more soft skills traininng into it.

The students are eligible to sit for placement in their final years. The companies which comes for the placement are deloitte, goldmanSachs, amazon and many more reputed companies. And they do make many offers. The highest package reports around 30 LPA and the average goes on around 3 to 4.5 LPA. Around 70-90 percent get placements. My plans is to pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements towards the final semester of their course. Currently, I have only been using the help of my faculty for internship opportunities, since I am not looking for placements. But they have connections with big names in the communication sector, and they often have personalities coming in to give talks and interact with the students. A great number of students opt for placements and approximately 90% of them do end up getting posted at really good companies. Others choose to continue with higher education. My plan after receiving my degree would be to take up a diploma in literature in the UK, while simultaneously finding myself a position at a good publishing house there.

Placement Experience:

From my seniors, I hear that 20/30 % of students from our college get placed. But now being in my final sem I know the reality. For covid and lockdown, the placement sector has been badly hit. Only a handful of companies came this year (5/6 companies). 4/5 people from our batch are placed but no placement for the big chunk of people. From 5th sem students become eligible for placements but in 5th sem, no company came to our college for placement this year. Only in the 6th sem, the placement cell started. Companies that visited till now ( some of them came to take interns and didn't offer full-time jobs) 1) Clevertize, 2) Social Panga, 3) Robert Bosch GmbH, 4) Saatchi & Saatchi, 5) Publicis, 6)PR Pundit, 7) McKinsey, 8) Edsol Edtech, 9) Momo Media, 10) MSL, 11) Genesis BC, Offers: 1.5-3 LPA (average). I plan to send CVs personally to companies through LINKEDIN and other job search platforms because the college hasn't provided us with good placement offers as claimed.
