Remarks

The negative remark ?, Hmm yeah ! There are a few as it is inevitable. The rest-rooms are not the finest. It is because of poor discipline of students, yet they haven't sorted it out. During winters the trees in here will be swarmed by worms and their webs, which will be a hell of annoyance. The parking facility for motorcycles and cars is non existent and parking outside near the walls of the campus is unsafe.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course structure is designed by Anna University and purely dependent on basics. The real-time updation and upgradation in the field & industry must be self learnt and self taught. Anna University guarentees the basic knowledge. The whole Idea of engineering is to base the foundation over which the knowledge building should be out of self interest and self initiation. Exams and Labs, Read and understand the concepts, fill the 42 papers issued with relevant content highlighted with diagrams and graphs. Hurrah, you will be passed with a good grade. Make sure you behave with the teacher in a way that he/she won't mess with the internals negatively, the lab examinations are a bit tough but you'll be helped and supported which again depends on your reputation among the staffs. So, minimal preparation is required to pass-out with no arrears.

Placement Experience

3

The placements here are good, they really offer a hell lot of options and training programs. But make sure you have less than two arrears to be trained for the placements. They don't care about the students who have arrears when it comes to placements. They work untiringly for placement of the students and TCS be their major recruiters. PEGA-Virtusa is the next best recruiter with an awesome package. Many of your classmates and if you're good enough will be getting internships during your final semester and the nicest part is you'll actually get paid.

College Events

2.5

Every department organizes Symposium and they really put their work into it. The students very much be interested in Non-technical events than any other. The rotaract club of our college is very active and regularly organize events to create social awareness and etc.,

Fee Structure And Facilities

If you're a First graduate and got admitted to the college through Anna University Counselling (TNEA), then you'll be paying 40,000 for college fee and 30,000 for Transport fee. If you are getting in through the management Quota then expect to pay 50,000 in addition to the normal fee. That is 90,000 annual fee + 28,000 for transport. This is a little bit on the higher side to call it feasible.

Fees and Financial Aid

They get educational loans availed easily from Punjab National Bank if you're eligible. One can avail a concession of rs. 20000, if they are the first graduate in the family also the student of MBC, SC/ST community are given additional scholarships and concessions. The students who have maintained a CGPA over 9 will be offered a 100% fee waiver at the end of the 8th semester.

Campus Life

3

People from all the states are present here and apart from the local tamil pupil, telugu pupil are in high numbers. Then comes kerala natives and north indians. Sport, that is given the highest consideration is foot ball next to athletics. Ragging and Discrimination is never a issue herez seniors will be real kind and sweet to the juniors until the juniors want to play "The Boss" around seniors.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Hostel rooms are fine and the food is bad as usual. You gotta blend in if you wanna survive and it is better to get a rental rooms near Poonamalle, and cook your own food. There are a wide range of houses on rent, better get a room for yearly Lease and that's a best option, once you finish the course and leave, the lease amount received back will help you to pay the Educational loan you have availed to pay off the college fees. By the way, the hostel fee is somewhere around 60,000-75,000 annually.

Alumni/Alumna

Every year a group of Alumni visits us and share their experiences and current lifestyle and job they are in. This gives students an insight on their future. Some of the alumni, organizes workshops and seminars personally or as a part of their workplace to impart student with the necessary knowledge about the skills and things needed to get out of the college successful. The senior students helps you with projects, trips and sometimes seniors collaborate with juniors in hackathon and other innovative projects and have even won a lot of times.

Admission

For a start, I had a long term aspiration in becoming a computer programmer which then put aside as my 12th cut-off was low. I got an option to choose ECE (Electronics and Communication Engineering) at Rajalakshmi Institutions, Which I then accepted after reading some reviews online as you're doing right now. That's it. Paid the fee, got an admission and I only saw the college on the first day of my first year class. This college comes under Anna University and I chose engineering knowing the risks of regrets as proposed by the ton of engineers posting memes online. If you really keep aside the insights borrowed and focus on what you want to become, then you'll be the Engineer, who'll truly call themselves an engineer and mean it.

Faculty

2.5

The faculty are kinda okayish, but there are some true gems among them. Once you find them, they'll guide you Throughout your semesters. Some staffs are extremely talented and some are. I rather not say it. They will like and be kind with you if you always smile. Greet and be nice in class. May it be the worsest lecture, pay attention and blow off your steam after the staff leaves. A month after completion of syllabus, get the important questions and prepare them fine to ace your exams. Make sure that you pass all the class/unit tests in between. Teachers to stand on all the positions of the good-bad scale are present here.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum behind or campus is very much updated and it is changing as the technology changes. As the present world is engaging with computer and artificial intelligence,I want to improve more knowledge and also want to compete with others. The time table and the devlopment technology followed by our university is devoloped so that only placement are recorded with high percentage when compared to other. The improvement should be observed only regarding labs.We have write examination for every 30 or 40 days , because there are 3 internal test ,semester and lab exams.Actually time is not sufficient but we have to do hardwork.when compared to other universities or colleges our exams arebwry hard.
