A mix of hardwork and fun

It has been a good learning experience so far. There may be some negatives but there are enough positives to cover them up.

the course may be hectic but i think that is what preps us for our career ahead. the curriculum is pretty relevant. Its not all just theory and rote learning, we have a lot of practical learning here. A lot of emphases has been given on analytical skills, with case studies and presentations. There are quite a lot of industrial visits as a part of the course

A lot of good companies come to recruit students from our college like ITC, Infosys, VMware, Deloitte, E&Y, Mindtree etc.

Our flagship Business fest is called Ximera, its conducted every year in the month of February. There are various events hosted by the college clubs, Entrepreneurship events by Empresario club, Marketing events by MarkXIME club, Finance events by Initiative club, HR events by HRuday club, Analytics events by Xinsights club, Operations events by Cops club, CSR events by Rotaract club and Xseed club, etc. Business schools all across Bangalore are seen participating in large numbers.

The fee structure is not different from other business schools in the country, which is fairly good. Apart from the course fee, we have the hostel fee inclusive of food and other charges like the uniform, the foreign trip charges, etc. A detailed breakdown of the fee is provided.

There around fourteen scholarships that the college provides on the basis of merit and some exceptional situations. Most of them are on the basis of CAT scores. I have not opted for a scholarship or educational loan.

In my batch, the number of girls exceeds the number of boys. The college clubs as mentioned earlier conduct a lot of events within the college which include some cultural and sports events. The college hosts a debate competition every year called the Maria Philip memorial intercollegiate debate.

Hostel facilities are decent. Hot water is available at all times. complete safety is ensured. Attendance is taken in the hostel everyday. Gym facilities are available with almost all equipment. There is a study room in the hostel. Washing machines are also there on each floor. triple sharing rooms.

Alumni is extremely helpful. There is an Alumni cell within the college that connects the students with Alumni, each student has alumni as a mentor depending on the area of specialization.

I am interested in Finance and i want to build a career in that field which is why i opted for this course, as it gives a lot of industry knowledge which is a must. This college was suggested to me by a couple of people based on my CAT percentile which was 81%ile. There were various factors that i took into consideration while selecting the right institute, the placements more than anything, in which XIME is doing a pretty good job compared to most of the other institutions, i read reviews on various platforms like college unit itself to make up my mind. The admission procedure was as usual, we had to fill out a form giving in all our details after which we were shortlisted for the GDPI rounds.

The faculty is well qualified, most of them are doctorates with PhDs, and everyone is an MBA. Most faculties are good, there is a lot of clarity in the subjects. There are continuous feedback forms provided for assessing the teachers and if in case we do not like a particular teacher, the college takes immediate action.
