Remarks

I'll give only negative remark, because, after admission, due to lack of practical skills and all reasons mentioned above, I am less groomed than the students from different colleges. Positive remark is only for Education considering only theoretical college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My college is quite better in education. But if consider research and innovation, all comes to zero. Labs are moderate. No such faculty has great practical skills as an engineer. Almost every faculty tends to teach us only theories. Even Projects are less informative and guidance is poor as the faculties also unaware of practical knowledge. So, if you want to trial your project, do it your own. They even don't know that operation of project is as per guidelines or not. Concluded, if want to give marks to entire college considering education, extra curricular activities, projects, labs, skills, research, innovation, etc. It will be around 40 on the scale of 100.

Placement Experience

0.5

First of all, 'placement' is every students dream, which remains dream at end also. Job opportunities are about 10%. Training and Placement officers are only to bring bigger companies by references, or by feeding money to Human Resources Department of companies. MNC's are even not coming in dreams. Hardly, small or medium scaled 4-5 companies arrived at platform to offer job (in numbers around 5 per company), for almost 1200 students. And even not completely filled required vacancies. Because, lack of practical knowledge and skills. College provide internship from last year, but duration is around 2 months max only.

College Events

2.5

In our college events such as technical, cultural, etc. Are arranged every year. Some events are good for students as they develop skills in students. But fee for appearing is major problem. Skill development event costs around 2000 per student and even winners are selected by references or on commission basis. Cultural event is bigger event in year, but management is much poor that not a single year event continues upto last. Almost every student participated in any of the event, and total fee collected by our college itself is around INR 6-7 lakhs and prices worth around INR 20000.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is expensive as compared to getring returns. Although various schemes are to help students fananvially, they are not much effective. And costs like Placement fee (INR 8000 per year), stationary cost (INR 3000 per year) are the cost excessive to fee structure which must filled as fees. No discounts or inter college scholarships at all. For general category students, fees are around INR 100, 000. For OBC and other caste category students, has to pay complete fee at first, then half of that get returned after long time in installments. SC/ST category students had to pay fee around INR 12000 and government scholarship for them is around INR 30000 Each year. Such students, didn't attend college regularly or much of them are not interested in studying at all but only because of caste system, they are allowed to appear for Engineering.

Fees and Financial Aid

Loan is available by national banks on reference of college. Government scholarship program is better for students, documentation to appear to same, is much harder, complicated and bulky provess. Scholarship is available for hostels also around INR 5000 once a year.

Campus Life

3

Extra curricular activities are best platforms for students in my college to develop skills, but fee to appear them is much high, and winners are not selected by skills or performances, rather they are selected by references. As our college is private, only references are everywhere. No demand to skills and talent. As our Chairman is political leader, sometimes students also go thourough politics in education.

Hostel Facilities

2

Hostel rent is around INR 30000 per year including Stay and meal. Facilities at hostel are negligible almost zero. No fresh water, no cleanliness at all. No connectivity to internet and calling, due to bulky infrastructure. Also students has to pay intermediate fees for events differ than Hostel fees.

Alumni/Alumna

Once student leave college after completion of studies, not a single student want to be in any of the relation with college. Comments by alumnus are regarding Training and Placement, but such comments are not much helpful.

Admission

After Diploma in mechanical engineering, I choose preference colleges list and according to merit list, college is alloted to me. After verifying documents and other details, admission is done in college after filling admission fee.

Faculty

2

Faculty are good at theories, but much poor at practicals. As my college is in sub urban region and also PRIVATE, there is no value of qualifications of faculty at all. 80 % faculties are joined our college by references. No specific faculty to specific subject. If interest of faculty taken into consideration, all faculty want to get 100% result by passing only. That means, all students passed examination is enough for faculties. No one try to make top in competence.
