The curriculum is clinical based which means it is now focussed on acquiring practical knowledge and therefore very much relevant. Frequent field visits, interaction and communication with patients have been introduced very efficiently. However, the UG course is not research based.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is very good and disciplined. Parties are held without much restrictions. The sports facility is not very good but not bad at all. Cricket tournaments are held sometimes. Basketball and volleyball courts have been recently constructed for boy students and badminton courts were already there. The college gym is of high quality. The laboratories are well maintained and match high standards. The gender ratio is around 1:1. There is no involvement of students in politics. There is rare tussle between students from different regions but not at all based on religion.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel rooms are provided on a sharing basis of two students in a room. The area is just enough although it should have been little bigger like in the newly constructed building. The rooms in girls hostel are bigger. The Palang provided is of very good quality and the mattress is also of a very good quality. AC has not been provided. The floors are tiled and the bathroom is common ie four latrines and four bathrooms for twenty students.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is strong as the college is 28 years old and they are very helpful. The seniors are also very helpful. The alumni network is strong as the college is 28 years old and they are very helpful. The seniors are also very helpful.

Faculty

4.5

There are four to five professors in each subject who are well versed in their fields. The average age is around 45 which means there are some very young and some aged professors are there in the lot. All of them are having at least a post graduate degree in their subjects and many have even more then that.

The frequency of exams is a headache to be honest . There is 1 semester coming up within every 4 to 5 weeks which makes it stressful for us. Moreover the teaching methods are decent. This course is indeed a challenging one!

Course Curriculum Overview:

As a medical college, it always has an environment of focus and consciousness. I have chosen MBBS because I want to be a focused student in my life. I want a disciplined life, which is also a beauty of this course. MBBS develops you as a sincere - sensible and soft personality. In each department of our college, there are 3 to 4 teaching and non-teaching staff and our batch strength is of 170 students and there are totally more than 15 departments in MBBS course, so now you have an idea about the faculty Nad student ratio of our college. Faculty members are excellent in every department of our college be it the Undergraduate department or postgraduate department they are well qualified and renowned and they are great doctors too, they have wonderful art and experience of producing successful doctors. As a medical college, here 1st priority is study and assessment of students so exams are on time and obviously it has a difficult curriculum, which needs lots of hard work and dedication.
