Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is clinical based which means it is now focussed on acquiring practical knowledge and therefore very much relevant. Frequent field visits, interaction and communication with patients have been introduced very efficiently. However, the UG course is not research based.

Placement Experience

5

Since this is a professional course it can be said that placement is around 100%. There is a compulsory internship within the course itself.

College Events

4

Republic Day- Flags are hoisted and people are addressed by the director and guests. Some dance and singing performance are carried out. Saraswati puja- The goddess idol is worshipped with great pomp and joy. This is the largest celebration in the college. Independence day- Same as Republic day Some other cultural programmes on various occasions where some renowned artists are invited to perform and the students also perform various activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite expensive. This is a private Medical College hence the fee. The annual payable amount is ?12,00,000. The fee is accepted through cash or demand draft, and RTGS. There are no additional fees that have to be paid for getting admission. Yes, the college provides transparency in the fee-breakdown and fee payment.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life is very good and disciplined. Parties are held without much restrictions. The sports facility is not very good but not bad at all. Cricket tournaments are held sometimes. Basketball and volleyball courts have been recently constructed for boy students and badminton courts were already there. The college gym is of high quality. The laboratories are well maintained and match high standards. The gender ratio is around 1:1. There is no involvement of students in politics. There is rare tussle between students from different regions but not at all based on religion.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel rooms are provided on a sharing basis of two students in a room. The area is just enough although it should have been little bigger like in the newly constructed building. The rooms in girls hostel are bigger. The Palang provided is of very good quality and the mattress is also of a very good quality. AC has not been provided. The floors are tiled and the bathroom is common ie four latrines and four bathrooms for twenty students.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is strong as the college is 28 years old and they are very helpful. The seniors are also very helpful. The alumni network is strong as the college is 28 years old and they are very helpful. The seniors are also very helpful.

Faculty

4.5

There are four to five professors in each subject who are well versed in their fields. The average age is around 45 which means there are some very young and some aged professors are there in the lot. All of them are having at least a post graduate degree in their subjects and many have even more then that.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There isn't really anything about the course that this college has control over. Since NMC has made it mandatory to follow their adviced methods, the College only has the freedom in providing that very method in an efficient way. That said, the College does provide it all in an efficient way. The ward duties that start from 2nd year give you real world clinical experience very early in your studies. You can easily combine your theoretical knowledge with clinical aspects and enhance your course experience. I'd that the time we are required to spend in college throught a day be reduced by at least an hour or so, since the time we are left with for self studies isn't very adequate. The exams are fairly frequent, in first year you have an exam almost every month, which mentally keeps you prepared throughtout the year, and in 2nd year you have an exam in almost every 3 months. The difficulty is not a lot. It's fair level, given we are going to be doctors.
