SRM University Chennai

The college has a very beautiful campus and really doesn't fail in anything the take forward, there are many suicide reports in the college but that is due to the personal problems of the students not the college.

In SRM they try to teach you a wide knowledge of the course you've chosen even if it's not required for your course, example in first year for CSE group you will be learning Civil mechanics for 1 semester which will be fun, Exam structure is kinda hard since you will have texts per 2 months which will be added to your final year cgpa.

Mostly everyone above 7 cgpa will get placed but it depends on the annual package. Our college does provide internships which will start from 2nd year. Many companies come to SRM like Microsoft, Google and other huge companies, for getting a good annual package you'll need a good cgpa atleast around 9.5

There are many events hosted my SRM University Chennai, the tech fest is Aarush, Cultural fest is Milan then there is the SRMmun which is hosted every year once and plenty students from other colleges all over India come to participate in the fest.

The fee structure depends on the rank you get in the SRM enterance exam, higher the rank is the lower your fees is, but if you get a rank of 30000 and less the common fees will be 3.5 lahk per year, for sports quota student everything will be free.

SRM does give good scholarships depending on your enterance exam rank, if you score 20000 and higher you will get 1 lahk of your main fees which will be 2.5 lahk per year, I am not sure about the loans offered in SRM

You can play any sports in SRM, and there are so many clubs in SRM which is very easy to into if your knowledgeable in the specific club your willing to join since there will be an interview to get into each club. There are any workshops conducted in SRM. The gender ratio would be 6:4, 6 being male and 4 being female

They hostels are all beautiful and well maintained, they have AC hostels and Non Ac hostel from 4 sharing to 2 sharing ranging from 1 to 2 lahks per year including mess fees and fees to wash clothes, or else you can rent out flats next to SRM sharing with 6 people per flat for around 1.5 lahks per year including all expenses

The seniors in SRM are one of the best part of SRM since there is no raging and since they are all so kind and helpful, they do not domainte any junior but tend to treat the junior's and their friend especially in student clubs it's very easy to mingle with seniors

So basically there will be a entrance exams where SRM themself will officially conduct and depending on how high your ranked by getting high marks you will be able to select a course of your choice, for CSE group you will have to get atleast 20000 above which is easy after the exam you will be placed to your choice of group.

The faculty in SRM are very nice and caring to the students, the do not have partiality towards south or north Indian students, they teach very well and do not tend to stress the students to much. They will give needed notes for our coming up exams.
