Remarks

Pros. Good teaching staff. Excellent infrastructure of classrooms. Lush green campus with good roads. Prime location in the city. Good livestock farms. Cons. Not so good hostel infrastructure.(renovation in process) Laboratories of some departments are not that well mentioned.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Course structure is very interactive and student friendly.first two years are almost theoretical white 3rd is theory cum practical.Research opportunities are plenty but one would have to opt for post graduation to really get invested in research. Exam structure consists of 3 internal assessments each of 40 marks with 10 marks final weightage. Scores of best two out of 3 would be considered. At the end of each professional year extenal assessment takes place of 100 marks and weightage of 40 marks.external assessment is accompanied by internal practical exam of weightage of 40 marks.

Placement Experience

3.5

Placement opportunities are in following areas- Government jobs provided by animal husbandry departments of states.the opportunities have decreased in this sector. Private practice In research and teaching feild. Milk and meat processing industry

College Events

4.5

Various events celebrated in college are- Fresher's welcome ceremony. Annual prize distribution and cultural ceremony. Various seminars and symposia of college departments. Convocation and oath-taking ceremony. Farewell party.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For first professional year total fee for year is Rs60,000 for hosteliers and roughly Rs52,000 if you don't opt for hostel. For girl students and students of sc/st category students it's roughly half of original amount. For consequent professional years fee is 1000 less than first years. Mess security Rs5000 has to be paid additionally.

Fees and Financial Aid

College offers scholarship for top 25% students admitted against haryana resident quota. Financial aids like fee concession, cheaper books from University library are provided for scheduled caste/tribe students.

Campus Life

3.5

Sports activities are an important part of the university curriculum. The university has an outstanding facility as a Students Activity Center. College is also benefits from collaboration with Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agriculture University & shares it's well developed sports infrastructure.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are quite helpful and cooperative.they prove to be quite helpful in both studies and cocurricular activities. Also senior students are quite in clinics as we tend to be more Frank with them then the teachers. I have no experience with alumni association.

Admission

I had an interest in medical sciences but veterinary had always been my second choice.I couldn't get an admission in medical college so ended up there but now I don't have any kind of remorse in my mind. I find veterinary to be a noble profession with a lot of opportunities ahead.

Faculty

4.5

Teaching faculty is highly qualified and cooperative. They are always ready to help with any sort of student issues. Also there is no shortage of faculty as witnessed by several other institutions in country.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like the curriculum. It is very systematic and interesting. It makes the course more engaging with the distribution of subjects and everything. The theory and practicals are so interesting. If a student tries to relate, they can certainly get a lot of knowledge for real world and operations The teaching methods are also good. It would be nicer if practical knowledge was provided in 1st 2nd and 3rd year but it is usually not given in any college for veterinary so it's not something wrong. The exam date timings are not bad, usually there is gap of around 1 to 1.5 month between each internal exam and then there are prep leaves for external exams. The only sad part is that it takes a lot of time since each subject has 2 exams for externals with syllabus divided.
