Review about India's first College CMS College kottayam

This College is 200 years old and have many many big old trees the buildings are 200 years old buildings and they are well maintained , while walking inside campus we feel a good vibe of nature and tradition which no College can offer other than cms Many noted pesonalities studied here one of them is indias former president k r narayanan

The course is good with balanced curriculum and its not that tough for me and the teachers teaches very well with lot of illustrations etc. the exam is relaxed we have 2 internal exam and 1 sem exam thats it

College has intership with companies like malayala manorama and other govt agrucultural farm society etc. They also provide intership with many bug companies at 3rd year/ final year the companies were of accounting companies and their minimum pay was 25000

Celebrations takes place in cms very often every department has their own fest so that means more than 30 fest then additional cultural fest onam celebration Christmas celebration etc. are taken place every year

Fees structure is feasible there are aided courses and self financing courses. aided courses provide free education with little exam fee while self financing has a fees of 2000 per month but it is feasible while comparing other Colleges

There are many scholarships for poor students bacward caste students also for high mark scoring students in College the teachers explains about different scholarships and they help us to find suitable scholarship most of the studnets in my class applied for scholarship and waiting for the confirmation

Extracurriculars are one of the best things in cms we have sports arts day union day and all both girls and boys are included in these programmes but usually girls are more in cultural day programme while boys are more participated in sports programme. There is no politics inside campus because the College became autonomous and the College banned politics inside campus. The College have more girls than boys but not by a huge margin

Cms College have girls hostel but no boys hostel is there inside campus but there are many nearby hostels near cms College im a day scholar but my friends are hostelers they says that its good with good atmosphere and good food

Alumni meet are there in College every year cms College is 200 years old College India's first College many students of 1970s meet at alumni meet every year Every batch hav alumni meet in College at some specific date we usually see their alumni meet taking place in huge ground of cms

I had 85 percent mark in 12th grade after that i submitted an application form in cms College that form can be downloaded from cms official website later they didnt alloted me when merit list published the cut was 89 percent so i applied for management qouta and paid 1 lakh for admission then i got admission straight away

The best teachers i hav ever seen , soo friendly and very helpful. teaches very well with illustrations and examples and also they are not very strict and exam valuation is conducted by themselves and they are not strict in marking exams they are liberal in giving marks
