Remarks

I think if some one lacks in discipline, its perfect place for him/her. For every one else, last resort. At least it promises a degree. It's only positive thing in my life that I can attach to this college.

Entrance Preview

I did not require to give any entrance exam as it was not required at that time. I chose Mechanical engineering because I simply Love cars and machines.

Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

Curriculum was good. Still it was behind time. We required to join extra courses, such as CAD/CAM, after degree course. The optional subject were also limited to two or three where as university had more than dozen.

Internships Opportunities

No such offer or facility was available. It is a private college and hence such facility was not available. But as far as I can remember, principal declared that if any students ranks first in university then his fees for that year will be returned.

Placement Experience

0.5

It was worst at our times. Only one small company came for campus placement with just ONE opening. That too offered Rs 1800 p.m.

College Events

0.5

Tech events : NoneCult. Events: Annual gathering known as BEATS.As principal was very much focused on book, other events enriching overall development of student were on toss.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Way expensive considering the facilities and quality of faculty, instruments and infrastructure. On first year, there were no machines. Only two lathe machines, that too outdated and scrapped from industry, were purchased in next year. Now you can imagine what might be situation of other infrastructure.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not avail any scholarship nor do I remember of any scholarship offered by college. Although, there was a prize for acheiving First rank in university. As it was limited to university rank, it was not guaranteed and hence I can not call it scholarship.

Campus Life

0.5

Campus life is way strict. They do not allow parties in hostel. Timings are very strict. I personally think that student freedom is entirely missing in overall thinking of management. And hence students are lacking in creativity. They are burdoned with such a pack schedule that I doubt if some can think of anything else.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

Not good, not bad. Actually I did not required to board hostel as I belonged to same town of the college. Hence I am not in good position to give any feedback on hostel and food.

Alumni/Alumna

I think worst of all. I never attend any alumni event by our college as I do not want to see that campus again. I have many friends who share same feelings.

Exam Structure

Exam structure was as per standards of SHIVAJI UNIVERSITY. but I guess now it's under Solapur university.

Faculty

1

Faculty was not experienced. Only experienced and knowledgeable lecturers were the guest lecturers. Apart from, may be, one or two, all other lecturers were just pass outs of previous years.

Placement Experience:

In my college students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester and every year many companies come for hiring. Recently companies like TCS Accenture Cognizant Hitachi JSW Group Philips Axis Bank and some startups also visited so we get both IT and core chances. As per the latest data the highest package was around 24 LPA and the average stays around 6 to 6.5 LPA for most students and the lowest offers start from 3.5 LPA so it depends a lot on the role and company. Many students get placed but it mostly depends on skills performance and branch so it is not guaranteed for everyone. I feel the college gives decent chances but we also have to do our own preparation because competition is high. If I dont get placement from campus then I will try off campus also because there are many openings outside specially in IT. Overall placements are good for this level college and since companies keep coming for drives students who prepare properly usually get at least one offer.

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. Practical v/s theoretical balance: Labs, workshops and real world projects are a core part of the structure, especially in engineering, design, and science programs. CIA like case studies, presentations, and assignments encourage hands on learning. However, in some programs, there is a still heavier focus on the theory, so students must actively seek extra learning resources
