Course Curriculum Overview
The course and curriculum in the institution is very updated rather than other govt institutes, you will also get a good exposure of learning as they have many good labs and many teams also for the competitions occurring outside like bike and car manufacturing, hackathons etc
Placement Experience
The placements are very good if you are good in your skills and are from a software-related branch, you can have multiple job offers and can grab the placements in companies like amzon and microsoft. But the placements are very dull in mech, civil, rarely any core companies visit. Mostly sales and IT Jobs are provided to these guys
College Events
Milan and Aarush are two cultural activities in the college and celebrated every year. Milan is organized in the month of march and aarush is in month of September. These events generally organised for 4-5 days every year twice. The events are of national level and very big
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is quite feasible as many engineering colleges nowadays are charging almost 2lacs per annum. The tuition fee is 2.5 lacs per annum and the hostel and mess fee is extra which will be around another 1 lacs per annum. There will be an exam fee around 4k each sem. The fee is paid by the website so good transperancy.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many banks available at the time of counselling to provide loans and you can easily get that. They also provide good scholarship to the students with good marks. My two to three friends stuided the entire course with 50% scholarship in tuition fee
Campus Life
In mechanical civil, you will found very few girls mostly 2-3 in 100 candidates but in IT, CSE the girls are almost in 40:60 ratio means 40 % girls and 60% boys. There are students here from almost every state of India and you can also find a foreigner student also in your class
Alumni/Alumna
All the college senior will be friendly to you and very supportive. No ragging of any type is there in the campus as the infrastructure is very large and the hostels of the seniors and juniors are almost at a distance of 500-600 meters
Admission
You have to apply for the SRMJEE conducted by SRMIST each year in the month of April. There are many campuses of the university like kattankulathur, ramapuram, vadapalani, Amravati, Ghaziabad. The kattankulathur campus is the main campus among all of these.
Faculty
Each working day is divided into two parts, one is theory and other is practical. each theory and practical sessions consists of 5-5 slots and each slot consists of 50 minutes. So basically in each slot you will have different subject. For theories yours almost entire slot will be full but you will get many free slots in practical
