Overall SRM College is one of the best college to enjoy your college life because of the freedom they provide and different cultural fests they organise. college management takes care of each and every important things needed bt a student.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is fine, there are 3 exams and 1 final exam conducted in each semester, the 3 exams and some assignments given by teachers constitute the internals and there is 1 final exam at the end of the semester. There is also practical exams conducted in forn of model pactical exams(MPE) and University Prcatical Exams (UPE).
Placement Experience
Placements in SRM is good in terms of number not terms of quality. Many students get placed here but most of them with very low packages
College Events
There are 2 fests organised here, Milan and Aarush. These fests happed once in an year, one in each semester. Both of the fests are a national level fests and very big personalities come to the fest to entertain us, this gives us a good exposure.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is feasible as compared to other private colleges, my program fee is 2.5 lakhs and mode of payment is DD or RTGS or NEFT. Additional fees is charged for the semester exams. No the college does not show much transparency in their fee structure.
Fees and Financial Aid
Students with rank less than 100 in SRMJEE were awarded 100% scholarship, students with rank between 100 and 500 were awarded 75% scholarship and those below 1k were awarded 50% scholarship.
Campus Life
Campus life if awesome here, the gender ratio here between male and female is 10:1 and when it comes to diversity, there are not only students from different states of India but also from different parts of the world, and everyone of them live together in harmony
Alumni/Alumna
As a fresher, seniors helped a lot to make us aware of future challenges that we might face in college, they told us the exam pattern and strategy to prepare for the exams and also how questions are asked in exams.
Admission
My rank was send to my e-mail id with cut-off ranks for different branches of SRM and for differnt courses. Rank wise councelling dates and timings was also mentioned which we needed to follow.Admission process was quite easy, was easily completed in 1 day.
Faculty
Some of the faculty were quite good but some do not even have knowledge of basic things. There are around 10 faculty in my 2nd sem. The teachers are well qualified but most of them don't know how to teach. Yes teachers here do have a industry experience certification.
