Remarks

The college is overall good, tries really hard to give you exposure, good education, good job and comfort. It has always lived up to expectations. The students, faculties and everyone is very helpful.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is divided in such a way that it gives a student a lot of time to explore other things. The curriculum provided gives a very strong base of the subjects and then you have an open elective every semester after 1st year to explore other subjects. Students are encouraged to pick up personal projects and the faculties are always helpful. The exam structure too is divided in a very comfortable way there are 2 sessionalls with weightage of 15 marks each 30 marks for internals(assignments quizzes etc) and end sem for 40 marks. You have to score 35 in total to pass. So it's very comfortable to score good.

Placement Experience

4

So, our placements start from the start of 4th year. The college tries their best to bring in all kinds of companies to get everyone placed. There is a chance to get a good internship in 3rd year for the summer vacation but the spots are less, there are a lot of inhouse projects that students can pick. There is an option of doing an internship in your 8th sem so that you get 6 months of industry experience. I sat for the placements and got placements in 7 companies of different profiles, all the profiles I wished for, be it tech, business analytics marketing etc. Package from 5lpa to 10lpa.

College Events

5

Manipal University Jaipur is known for their fests. We have fests all year round. The main fest- the cultural fest, Onerios happens in October, its a 3 day extravaganza with great guest artists. We had jubin nautiyal perform last time. Then there is a sports fest, business fest, techfest, e- conclave which is a startup fest, a coding fest, model United nations, hostel fest.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college offers scholarship for anyone who scored above 95% in 12th grade. They provide 4k per month. If you top your branch each semester, your tuition fees is compensated for that semester. Plus you get a lot of trophies for excellent academics. If your research paper gets published, you can avail upto 60k. Muj also helps fund startups.

Campus Life

4.5

The college is always having fun. With one or the other fest round the corner there's always something to do. The good thing about MUJ is that there are rarely any gender biases or any other in a general basis. The college is fun and accepting. There are all kinds of people doing all kinds of things and everyone has something to teach.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostel is for 80k a year with 60k a year for mess, so it comes around 1.4 lakhs. The hostel is state of art. Very good quality rooms will all provisions. Each room can be double/single occupancy with bathroom attached. There is a gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, jogging track, laundry all in the hostel with a lot of restaurants. You get everything you need.

Alumni/Alumna

The only alumni we get to talk are our immediate seniors, since college only started in 2011, the alumini network isn't that strong, but during the time of placements, all the profs remembered their students in those companies and gave out their no's incase someone needs help.

Admission

To get admission into the manipal group of institutions you have to give the entrance test of manipal, MET. you can give it as many times as you want and your best score will be considered. Then according to your score, your rank is decided and then in the counseling you get your college as well as your branch.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of MUJ is stellar, they are well qualified with a lot of professors having done PHD from IITs. The faculty is a both way relationship. If the student is interested, they put extra efforts to make sure the student gets all they need. Most of the teachers especially from ECE were very helpful in all aspects.

Students become eligible for summer internship (after 3rd year) from start of 3rd year (5th sem) and for the placements, companies come to the college from 7th semester onwards. Companies like jo Morgan, Deloitte, Flipkart, goldman sachs , PepsiCo ,oracle, bny ,ubs , rippling etc come here for placements, some of them come for 2months and 6months internship too. Average package offered by them is 9-10 lpa , jpmc , Goldman, visa they offer till 12 lpa and it can go up for some of the companies . Most of the companies allow to sit for 6.5cgpa and above but some of them allows 7.5 and above cgpa and jpmc allows 8.5cgpa and plus as far I know till now . I am currently looking forward to work in a company and get a placement.

Reviewed on Mar 2, 2025(Enrolled 2025)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is vast and allows a student to explore all the possible options to take before deciding on one . The field of elctronics and communication engineering allows one to deal with electronics and learn all the possible tinkering with them which is a very fascinating part as all the gadgets possible today were made of them. The curriculum does satisfy this thirst by teaching about them in the class of electronics and electricals and then experimenting in the lab with them . The areas for improvement could be that if a student is interested in a specific field then should be allowed to venture that field throughly instead of sitting in every class , but that is an imrovement for the indian education system as as whole . The classes of every subject does occur frequently and and exams take place every month in a form of quiz or proper pen based exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I like computer science and I can see my future in this course. The current ratio in computer science courses is around 1:5. And we don't have technical communication teaching at present and the college is saying that they will recruit teachers as soon as possible. The student-teacher ratio in all the branches is around 1:3. All facilities are well qualified and teach well but they are not permanent and hence they may or may not be changed next year. There are two semesters in each year and an examination is conducted after each semester. The difficulty level of these exams ranges from moderate to difficult.
