MGM CJMC review

The college faculty is very helpful. All the teachers look after the students as if it's one big family.

Our course includes exams, assignments, review sessions and other activities for students. We have topics like sociology, economics, media law, media ethics, photography, videography, InDesign, Environmental journalism, Developmental journalism. We have had visits to the printing press, media houses, and notable journalists as well. Our course is designed in a way that prepares us for any type of situation that may arise while working in the media sector.

The college faculty and our principal, in general, are quite helpful and they constantly ask us where we would like to intern or work and suggest to us the best places to go and learn.

Our college promotes and arranges extracurricular activities to bring out the hidden talents if students and motivate them to express themselves. Some of our events include Induction (Fresher's), Foundation day event, Journofest( Annual cultural event), Farewell ( Final year students).

Our tuition fees are Rs. 50k. Our college accepts only a demand draft as a mode of payment. It is very feasible considering the kind of facilities and teaching that our college provides. The college doesn't trouble those who don't pay their fees on time.

I'm not aware of any scholarship of education loan that our college provides. Which is why I haven't allowed for any scholarship.

Being a journalism college we have Speech, debate, extempore, Symposium almost every week. It gives us great exposure and helps in stage daring and confidence building. Everyone is given a chance to volunteer events and there is no bias when it comes to giving opportunities to students.

I've been very lucky to have some wonderful seniors. Even after graduating they are in constant touch with me and guide me along the way.

I got to know about MGM college of journalism and mass communication from a friend of mine who also happens to be an alumnus of Mahatma Gandhi Mission. I visited the college with my brother the first time. As soon as you enter the MGM campus you feel refreshed seeing the lush green atmosphere. I was asked to write an essay as part of the ky entrance test.

Our teachers ask us to perform well academically but they are not just concerned about our grades. They provide a healthy, holistic lifestyle floor us students to thrive in. They have provided me useful advice many times which have been really helpful. The teachers at our college are one of a kind.
