Growth through opportunities

No such remarks as I have seen this university grow since 2016. The fact that Cu was just given the NAAC A+ rating proves its' quality.

The course curriculum is thorough and as per industry standards. Regular board of studies meeting ensures that the entire syllabus is as per what the industry requires. The entire structure is practically oriented that aims to make us students industry-ready. This is evident from the large number of students who are placed from CU. We are always asked to innovate in our projects rather than just to make what is already made.

While internships are solely dependent on seats available, students of the Mechatronics department have gone for internships in the top and reputed institutions like DRDO, Mahindra, Hero Cycles, etc. For placements, Mechatronics students are eligible to sit in almost all the drives as we have a dynamic and exhaustive course(that includes mechanical, electrical and IT) which makes us eligible for other fields of study.

On the academic front, CU often organizes various competitions like Solar Powered Car race, Robowar, Line follower robot competition, Roborace, hackathons, etc. Here students from colleges all over India arrive to take part in these competitions. Other than these are regular sport meets as well. CU fest is an event that the entire college looks forward to and we have a star-studded evening with stars and celebrities.

The course fee here is lesser as compared to other courses that offer the same course. Currently, it's around Rs. 80000. One can choose o pay via credit/debit card, DD or can opt for online payment as well. No such additional fees are there but students can book their seats by paying a notified amount. Except for the fee, only an examination fee and fest fee is charged.

The college does offer scholarships in various courses on the basis of CUCET scores or academic prowess in the 12th standard. The process to avail the scholarship is simple, one can go to the registration office and provide hem with the specified documents which will then be processed and then you will be given the scholarship benefits.

The campus life is amazing. everything that you want is there on the campus. great food chains like Dominos, Subway, La Pinos, etc have their stores set up within the campus and also the food court here is second to none. The gender ratio is good and one can observe a good balance in the number of boys and girls. Regular workshops are held and can also be requested by students which is then always fulfilled by the authorities.

The alumni network is mostly online with connectivity across digital platforms like Facebook, Linkedin, etc. Seniors are very helpful.

Back in 2016, Chandigarh University was one of the few colleges that offered a bachelor's' degree in mechatronics engineering. I had seen hoardings of Chandigarh university throughout the city of Jaipur. and when I did some research on google, I came to the conclusion that CU is the best destination. When we visited the university, we found the infrastructure to be awe-striking with greenery all around.

Almost all our lecturers are well qualified and from reputed institutions with an average age of 30 and posses PhD in one of the related fields to mechatronics. We have teachers who are specialized in certain subjects like signal and systems, control systems, image processing, Industry 4.0, etc and they are extremely helpful to us students to understand the concepts more efficiently through the practice-based approach.
