Remarks

Overall, I would conclude by saying that DGMC is India's first college to offer the course of BA FTNMP. Followed by other colleges like KC etc. Till now there are only 7 colleges who offer this course. Many of them I have personally visited during my admissions & many of them I have read about. After comparing each one I can definitely say, that this is by far the best college for this course. Excellent Infrastructure. IT labs with Modern I-mac's and all software inbuilt. Sound lab. Colour grading lab. Plus it has its own studio where you can make your short film assignments given for your SEM projects. I guarantee you that if you are passionate about films & cinema, you'll really enjoy it here. I am loving it here & you will too

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Yes, the course is designed excellently. It will teach you almost everything. From pre-production to post-production. They teach everything. Throughout the 6 semesters, you will learn everything from world cinema to the Hindi film industry's current standards & how it works professionally.

Placement Experience

2.5

There are no placements in this college officially. Internships happen & those who are interested can apply for them & work with them. But no official placements happen as such.

College Events

5

As it is an Arts College. So you might guess that a lot of events happen here. From Film Festivals such as Cinevoyage which is the official DGMC film festival, Mumbai International Film Festival which is held here. And it is free for the students. Culture events like Media ICE AGE & etc happen. Many celebrities of Bollywood Industry come to this college as chief guests for fests. Plus, smart classes are also conducted by Industry experts in various fields. Other activities like traditional day and etc happen here. So yes overall the fests happen in great quantity and they are very good.

Fee Structure And Facilities

1st year is 61,000. 10,000 will be refunded after the course completion. It's just a security deposit. 2nd year is 51,000. 3rd year is 51,000. So that overall accounts for 1,53,000rs. You have to pay online. No cash accepted. And it's a safe payment mode, the staff is very cooperative and they will help you out.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, Scholarships & grants are provided to students, I did not apply for any educational loan. So I cannot help you out with that.

Campus Life

5

The gender ratio is near about equal in My course BA FTNMP. In courses Like BMM, the girl is way more as compared to the boys. The crowd is really good. The campus life is chirpy and excellent. The college has it's own turf to play cricket and football. You will get to meet a lot of amazing people with varied culture & background from around the globe in this college

Alumni/Alumna

Yes, the seniors are very helpful & friendly. And they are both influencing as well as fun at the same time.

Admission

The admission procedure in this college is very simple. All you need is your 10th & 12th mark sheets xerox along with other nominal documents such as Aadhar, etc. Even if you get 50% marks there is no problem. And even if you get 90% marks there is no problem. They take students from anywhere between 50-90%.

Faculty

3

The faculty lacks luster overall. Some are good & have great experience of the subject they teach along with industry and experiences. There are also faculties from FTII teaching us. But some are just direct college pass-outs who came to the teaching field, without any outside experience.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements from Semester 6. There are numerous companies like Zomato, The Quint, Hindu etc that visit the campus and whose offers are made for the students. The highest package offered has been INR 7 lacs per annum and the Average package is INR 3.60 Lacs per annum. The campus placements has been 85% based on the number of students that opted for it. My plans after getting my degree is to go ahead for my masters in either creative writing or marketing and then start working on a job but this may change.

I wanted to join this course from a long time as I was very interested in the same. The faculty is great and students ratio is also quite good but teachers try to focus n give time to each students.Teachers are also amazing they give there 100 percent to the students..They also have doubt lecture before every exams and also conduct phycological evaluation for every student before the exam so that the students doesn't have any kind of pressure..Term exams are conducted 2(twice) a year, if the student is studying well you can pass the exam very easily.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen BA arts as my curriculum cause I have had an intrest in Psychology and I am thinking of pursuing a further career in it. Our stream is having around 15-20 faculty members and each class strength is around 120 and there are 4 divisions. Almost all of the faculty members are having phd degree and everyone is having a unique teaching method and very likely we enjoy the lectures of all the faculty members. The teaching is really good. For this year that is for FY, I was having 2 online exams one for each term and it was MCQ type questions and answers. The exams level difficulty is moderate.

Remarks:

My college has a lot so it can be best not only in our city or state but also in a country. But we are lacking planning which has clarity and implementation of the same. We need to be more optimistic and our college has to build some basic infrastructure and facilities where they are lacking and guidance support for every stream of students so we can do better in future and obviously at present which requires teamwork but before that leader should be there who can take all people's accountability and start this thing.
