Fee Structure And Facilities

I found Fees structure is feasible but might be expensive also as various students of India gives exam and get selected and their incomes range also varies. In 2019 there was a strike in the IIMC Delhi campus regarding the hike in the fees so the government decided now not to increase fees of the course as they were increasing every year by 10%. Apart from this freeship of 21,500 is also given to students with income certificates and EWS.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, i did not opt for scholarship or loan but there are facilities for this students are given freeships of 21,500 with income below 8 lakh per annum and EWS. Also, IIMCAA also gives scholarship to the random student, not any criteria is based for this apart from this student who comes first also gets a scholarship of Rs 10000 each,

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel is basically any government hostel. They provide you bed, pillow, mosquito net, dustbin, table chair, cupboard, none room. The washroom has geyser. They have separate hostel for boys and girls namely Bhramaputra and Mahanadi and hostel timings are till 9 : 30 pm then warden closes hostel gates.

Alumni/Alumna

IIMC has a strong Alumni Association named IIMCAA (Indian Institute of Mass Communication Alumni Association)and it celebrates its meeting every year with title Connections so that everyone can connect with IIMC whether new or old students moreover they also give various awards to IIMC Alumni and present students. Even they organize connections apart from six states where IIMC has a centre.

Admission

I gave an entrance examination of IIMC for English Journalism then I was selected for interview and group discussion i qualified and got IIMC Dhenkanal from my performance. Basically here you don't get to know marks only examination roll number and name is declared. Yes, the procedure is somehow similar to the civil services examination. I found the Journalism course interesting and I wanted to become Journalist as we all know media is the fourth pillar of democracy so it should be considered as important as bureaucrats examination because Journalist is the people who influence daily life of everyone be rich or poor, politicians or bureaucrats, etc. It teaches us the importance of the pen is a more powerful weapon. Entrance Examination is held in May end or June first week and then the interview is scheduled in July and classes to start from 1 August in all centers.
