Quality education with peculiar curriculum and courses

In a nutshell,the school has a different and unique campus life.

The course structure is well designed with 70% of practical knowledge and 30% theoretical concepts. The Courses provide industry-specific knowledge to the students. Various industrial visits are organized every 2-3 months to give students a broader prospect about the industry. Also, Internal assessments and presentations are a part of the curriculum.

The internship opportunity provided by the college is great. I got a chance to work at Marico India Ltd. for my summer internship. Also for final placements, some of the big companies like Reliance, HDFC bank,Coke,ITC come to campus for the placement drive.

The college hosts a number of inter and inter-college events. Rush for Rush and Midnight sunrise are the flagship events of the college. Other than this College organizes a number of business events and competitions for the students. Various sports events are organized each semester as well by the sports club.

The fee structure is a bit expensive as compared to other similar B-Schools as the college is located on the outskirts of Mumbai, near Lonavla. But the campus life is really amazing and the quality of education makes it worth the money. Karjat is really a nice place to live in, at least once.

Yes, there are Scholarship options available for the students. The scholarship is given on the basis of the past academic and extracurricular records of students.

There is no gender or cultural bias among the students. It is mandatory for each student to join a club. There are various clubs like Sports club, CSR club, Marketing club.I was a part of a sports club where we used to organize different events like basketball, volleyball, Pentahalon each semester. There were meetings every week with the club patron.

As UBS is a residential college, hostels are a must for all the students. College provides single as well as dual accommodation with AC rooms. The rooms are spacious having 27*7 water and electricity supply. There are different warden for both boys hostel and girls.

The alumni network is strong, the senior students can get in touch with the alumni easily. There are also alumni meets every year.

On the basis of the entrance test results, I got a call from the college. There were 3 rounds of interviews. The first interview tested the basic general knowledge, the second round tested the technical knowledge, whereas the third round was all about checking the communication skills.

The faculty is well qualified with good industry or corporate experience. The quality of teaching is good and each of the faculty is very helpful. The teaching is done through projectors and professors follow a practical approach for teaching. Most of the faculty stay back at a campus as well.
