Remarks

The college is pretty nice and has maintained its quality of education. Yet there are certain points they need to work on especially the process queues, they take about a whole day of yours. Overall nice College.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Mostly it is chilled being a commerce graduation. They also took the initiative of campus placement which is very nice. The exam is on semester pattern, 2 semesters in one year and total of 3 years which is 6 semesters.

Placement Experience

2

There were campus placement interveiws last year and hopefully they will be this year as well. The companies that came were from local industrial belts looking for accountants, and package as per the the region was fair enough. No, as such there is no internship option.

College Events

4

There are few events on a large scale. There is the annual function, the freshers and farewell. Last year there was a big event on mental health awareness which was actually a very good initiative. Other than that there are one or the other events going on at the shalom.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Very reasonable, the fees for 1year is ?3. 5k that is totalling upto ?10. 5 k for the whole graduation. Although this doesn't include the exam fees which is ?250 which we have to pay every semester through their online portal

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provide grant on the merit basis for them the fees is very less. As I'm in the grant the fees is less for me. And there is no requirement of loan when the fees is this low. The non-grant students have to pay 3 times of the grant fees.

Campus Life

4

The gender ratio is around 65:35. As i mentioned before there are a lot of workshops and events being held at the shalom. If the student actually attends all these events then their will be a groom to his/her personality.

Hostel Facilities

0.5

No the college does not provide hostel facility. Although there is a building but haven't seen anyone there in years. And if you go to hostels and rooms around the room will cost ?3000 and hostels ?7500.

Alumni/Alumna

Usually the students are not connected with the college after graduation but the one's in the senior year and junior year can be seen working together for the college events and portrait a good coordination.

Admission

The process was online. The admission application was online and fast and was easy. Rest the college met the criteria of my requirements. Also the fees was in budget. Hislop is a very old college of nagpur and since then it has maintained the quality of education it provides.

Faculty

3

The faculties are pretty much qualified as per requirement. They are although not so much interested yet they try their best. The teachers themselves are bcom graduate and this can be judged competent on this basis.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very good on paper. University has given like 8 subjects from which we have to choose 5. But this college itself chooses 5 subjects and students now have to learn only them ... Like in 3rd year sem 5 there was subject international finance I wanted to study that because baf course is all about finance but the college had subject management. So yeah be prepared for this. My colleges reputation is not that great because other city students come too. So for about teaching it's average

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is recommended for the students who want to pursue a career in the finance field or if someone who is looking to a course like CFA, this bachelors degree becomes handy. This course teaches you about the financial spectrum of the whole world and gives you an intricate understanding about different financial instruments and their relevance in the society. It teaches one of the most sought after skills in today's world, that is financial literacy. Still I think some of the subjects introduced under the NEP are completely irrelevant such as EVS and IKS. We as college students need to give quality time on some professional subjects, not that these subjects are not important but they need to be emphasised in the early classes. There are three internal exams of 10 marks each and 20 minutes for each paper. The end sem exam is of 30 marks for minor subjects and 60 marks for major subjects. Also I feel that the difficulty level is okay.
