Positive: Freedom to explore the world without any restriction like dress code or gender bias which most college has. Negative: The Mess is quite out of expectation Since the college follows Anna University regulations the syllabus is a bit outdated too

The course is theoritical and not much practically used. As one would expect from a B. E course it's soley theroy based with 2 lab classes every semester. The syllabus is made by Anna University and adheres to Indian conventional constructions methods.

It's decent. The placements have good scope for the IT and CSE department. Civil department gets placements from bulk and non core companies. But appearnece of core companies is limited in this department. My college provides internship for the students alone.

Insticts- Cultural event of SSN held between Feb and March. It has variety of shows, events and entertainment. Invente- techno fest of SSN. It includes various hackathon, competitions and seminar programs

It's quite expensive for management quota. For management quota with hostel facility it is approx. 1. 9 lakh per year. The merit quota (via Anna University counselling ) get 40 to 50K off. Rural scholarship provides 100% free study including hostel, mess and tution fee.

Merit Scholarships Scholarships are awarded to meritorious students, based on their academic performance at the qualifying examinations for freshers, and in the case of senior students, their performance during the previous academic year. All the UG and PG students in Engineering, MBA and MCA programs at the Institution are covered under the Scholarship program. Merit-cum-Means Scholarship: Every academic year, several scholarships are awarded on the criteria of merit-cum-means. Academic performance and demonstrated economic need are the key criteria for this scholarship. Walk-in-Walk-out Scholarships: The top ten rank holders of any State or Central Board Examination at the Plus Two or equivalent level are entitled to pursue the B. E. / B. Tech. degree at SSN College of Engineering absolutely free of cost. Scholarships for Rural Students: This is a unique feature in the overall scholarship program at SSN. Twenty five toppers from rural Government schools are selected for free education at the UG level every year. This is a small step taken by SSN to bridge the urban-rural divide in the country. These students also participate in a specially designed bridge-program prior to start of the regular academic session to equip them face the rigors of engineering education. Sports Scholarship Sports scholarships are awarded to students with an outstanding record in sports. Typically, students who have participated in National and International level competitions conducted by accredited Sports Boards are eligible for these scholarships.

Extracuriculars like dance, singing acts and other entertainment and competition based events occur regularly. Sports are given good importance too. We have sports scholarship and can also avail sports materials for. Temporary use from PT department. Gender ratio is equal. Here we have approx equal number of girls and boys. Boys being more populated in technical department and girls in IT CSE and ECE departments The tolerance is really good here. Student of good academic and financial background help the ones with lagging studies. We learn together and grow together

The hostels are good with frequent renewals and painting. But the Mess food quality is a bit out of the expectation. The restrooms are cleaned daily and maintained well. We have in built A/C study rooms with awesome look. Ground and park are available to enjoy too

From the third year, from every department, alumni co ordinators are selected to maintain good contact between students and alumni. Every year alumni who has reached good heights are invited and made to take seminars and provide help to students on academics and placements. The seniors are good too. They help juniors with valuable advice for life and notes too.

I applied for B. e. civil engineering course under management quota and attended the entrance exam for 100marks following which I had to attend an interview And after a month, I got call from college stating my selection.

The faculties are well experienced with high qualifications. Every professor has done M. tech in reputed institutes. Every 1st week of a semester they conduct community meeting to make modifications to teaching system for the benefit of students.
