Remarks

The management is overall pretty efficient. They are strict were they should be like attendance etc and chilled in things like participation in fests etc. The overall experience till now has been amazing, lets see what the upcoming 1 year has in store for

Entrance Preview

I just gave the NMAT exam. They did not give us the marks and I know my rank though it is 511. I opted for this college since the brand value was pretty high and apart from that Mumbai is a beautiful place to spend 3 years of your life anyway

Course Curriculum Overview

Honestly speaking, the course curriculum is beautifully designed and spread across 3 years divided into 36 subjects, which comes to 12 subjects a year.Thus figure was exciting enough to join the college. Curriculum is worth the resources one spends. Notes and presentations are always available on the Blackboard. Faculty is top quality in the college and is very helpful and cooperative even post college hours.

Internships Opportunities

This college keeps sending us a lot of internship offers throughout the year for our own betterment and industry exposure.The general stipend offered varies from 2000-10000 per month depending upon the amount and quality of work.

Placement Experience

Placements are pretty smooth and well managed thanks to the placement cell that coordinates with students regularly.On an average 15 companies come every year from various fields be it banking, FMCG etc.In all approx 100 students are placed every year with the average salary being around Rs. 4 lacs a year.

College Events

VAAYU is the college's annual festival. It usually happens in December and we see a huge amount of people turning up for the events and competitions.There are various happenings from Games to Cultural competitions to Beauty contests etc. and many well known celebs are also seen every year. Participation comes from all over the country

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is inclined a bit towards the higher side for BBA. The annual fees goes upto 2 lacs INR which is a lot if compared to Government colleges. For Bcom it is around Rs. 1 Lac

The SVKM trust that my college falls under has a lot of student upliftment policies directed towards the needy ones.

There is a lack of extra curricular infrastructure to be honest, but cultural events are something which are very regular.The official cultural club of the college is called MONTAGE which has departments for drama, music, arts and fashion.

The hostel has a limited number of seats which are pretty less to be honest and knowing the fact that hostel gets full quickly, outsiders stay in rented flats or PG accomodation near the college.

Seniors here are one of the sweetest people that you can come across. My perceptions of college ragging and everything changed drastically once I stepped into ASMSOC and these people are always ready to help you in out in all aspects, be it academics or other things.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the BMS (Bachelor of Management Studies) course primarily due to its highly comprehensive coverage of core business aspects specially human resources. The curriculum is well-structured to offer a deep understanding of corporate administration and strategic management, which strongly influenced my decision to enroll. Admission:

The admission process is easy in my college. Students do not have to appear for any Entrance examination. For Taking admission in B.M.S course, students should get minimum45% marks and reserved category students should get 40% marks in Xll Standard.

Life of an NMIMS student

I applied to IIM indore for ipmat other than NMIMS mumbai, as it is the best choice for a commerce student after 12th as it provides bba+mba, although I couldn't get through due to sectional cutoff. I also gave examination for CUET in which I had scored good and could have got north campus of DU although I only gave the exam to check the level of the exam, I had no intentions of taking admission in DU as I dont like the crowd of Delhi and specifically DU. The Reality of ASMSOC(NMIMS)

I applied to this college because of the location it is situated in the prime location of Mumbai which is a vile parle and the job opportunities are very good in Mumbai you can easily get an internship in Mumbai compared to other cities. Other than NMIMS(ASMSOC) I applied for Symbiosis Pune I got selected however the crowd and the opportunities were lacking at that university as well as I used for LPU and was rejected because of the unsafe location. I tried for Woxsen Hydrabad but got denied because I was not well prepared and the college seemed fake with too many good advertisements. Now coming to the procedure to get into ASMSOC first you will have to take the NPAT exam here you get three attempts and the merit rank can range up to 1 to 2500 for your selection the exam is quite tough and the eligibility criteria is 60% in boards....Read More

I had applied to DU, Christ Bangalore, NIIT, NMIMS Mumbai, the reason for not attending is that I came to a conclusion that NMIMS was overall better for the course I'm applying as it is a prestigious B-School. The admission process for my course consisted of an entrance exam, previous academic performance and some colleges had GD/PI as their final stage too.
