Overall National Post Graduate College is a good college and one of the best colleges in Lucknow. If one is interested in good academics and placements one should surely get admission in National Post Graduate College.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is excellent in college. Being a BCA student in NPGC I can say proudly that our course was at par with the MCA course of AKTU. The exam structure is semester based. Usually most of the courses consist of 6 semesters. The practicals are held prior to the semester exams.
Placement Experience
When it comes to placements for BCA students , NPGC has one of the best placements in Lucknow. Students of BCA and BSc get placed in technical companies like HCL , TCS and Wipro with ctc of up to 2.24 lakhs. Non-technical students get placed in companies like Concentrix. But there is no facility of providing internships in college.
College Events
Events is the section where NPGC lags behind other colleges. In case of events , there is no college fest in NPGC. Usually 15th August and 26 January are celebrated in the college just like it is done in schools.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure is very feasible.For traditional courses like BA , BCOM and BSC fee is quite less when compared to professional courses like BCA and BBA. For BSc fee is less than Rs. 20,000 per year and for BCOM fees is less than Rs 10000 per year. For professional courses fees is around Rs 60,000 per year.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are no scholarships or loan facility offered by college. As the fees in college is quite affordable there will be no necessity of scholarship or loans. But still if one wants loan , he /she can approach any bank and get the loan easily on the name of NPGC.
Campus Life
In case of extracurricular activities NPGC is just average. There is facility of NSS in the college and here is also a cricket team of the college. The labs in the college are just ordinary. Computer labs have slow internet speed.
Alumni/Alumna
The senior students do not interact much with the students but when asked for help the senior react instantly. Overall seniors are helpful. National Post Graduate College has a strong alumni network specially in TCS.
Admission
There is an admission test conducted by the National Post Graduate College (NPGC) for admission in different traditional courses like BA , BSC , BCOM. But for professional courses like BCA , BBA , etc , there is an exam LUACMAT that is conducted in Lucknow for admission in NPGC and other colleges.
Faculty
The faculty is average in the college specially in science department. But there are also hard working HODs like Mrs Shalini Lamba and talented teachers like Mahesh Tiwari in the college. The faculty overall is of average kind.
