My PGDM Review

I belong to a business family and wanted to start my own business. This course helped me understand what I need to actually execute my plan. The faculty was very supportive and helped me with my business idea. The college had a pretty good infrastructure and an electric social life. Our curriculum also helped us in adopting a professional during conducting business.

Our course curriculum was pretty thorough and helped us to understand and execute a business plan. The curriculum covered topics from a wide variety of topics including Finance, HR, Operations, Marketing, etc. I opted for Finance as my specialization which helped me understand the frequent challenges faced in managing the corporate funds and assets. Our course was divided into six trimesters, with a mandatory internship after the third semester, i.e. first year.

We have a dedicated training and placement cell that works tirelessly to make the students industry-ready. Their other job is to bridge the gap between recruiters and students. Placements are actually good. Some decent and reputable companies like Coca Cola, Bata, Mind Tree, etc. visit our campus during the placement drive. Most of the recruitments are for the profile like consultant, manager, operations in-charge, etc. The lowest salary offered to a student was around INR 3 LPA, while the highest package was around INR 9 LPA.

My annual fee was around 3.25 Lacs, which was on par with other MBA colleges. It was pretty feasible for me. I paid around 6.5 lacs for the entire program. The day to day expenses are also nominal here and the examination fee is excluding this fee. On top of that, students can also earn scholarships for the Master's program.

Students belonging to a minority group are also offered a fee concession. Students are evaluated on numerous parameters like academics, sports, punctuality, etc., before being deemed as eligible for the scholarship. Some of these scholarships include diversity Scholarship and Career & Talent Scholarship.

I appeared for the CMAT exam which is a management level entrance exam for admissions to the MBA and PGDM program. This college is closer to my house that's why I opted for this college. After clearing the entrance exam, I appeared for counseling.

Our faculty was very supportive and qualified. We received their undivided attention during the classroom sessions. They shared their personal experiences and what a particular job means. All this made the learning fun.
