Course Curriculum Overview
I took Mechanical engineering, the best part about SRM is it keeps updating the curriculum every year with respect to the new technology, labs are very self-sufficient for the practical knowledge. And there are a variety of workshops and clubs which will help you use your theory into practice.
Placement Experience
There are several companies that have visited SRM for Mechanical placements such as Daikin, Hyundai, Etc. I was one of the selected candidates for Daikin Internship, and for other branches as well there is an ocean of opportunities out there
College Events
Arush, Milan, department wise Symposiums, dance clubs, theatre, photography and the list goes on there are a number of clubs and events that take place all around the year and gives ample of opportunity to each person for participation in the event and provides A lot of exposure into people management and event management etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
My Fee was around RS 2,15,000 and college accept DD, credit card, debit card on their payment portal the fee included books and equipment as well, for hostel and transportation there is extra for the hostel I believe it approx 1,30,000 and variates from facility to facility.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes, the college offers scholarship opportunities to the top few students of the college as per the university Ranking in their respective departments.
Campus Life
Campus life varies from campus to campus each campus has its own pros and cons me being in the Ramapuram campus had the facility of being in the centre of the city that meant easy transportation to various places in the city whereas the Main Campus being at the outskirts of the city had its pros like the huge campus and more facilities.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, the college has regular alumni meets every year. The association keeps in touch with the pass out students.
Admission
So you have to go through the SRMJEE, once you have cleared based on your score you get the branch and choice for the campus. There are about 5 Campuses, I am an alumna of Ramapuram campus. I joined in 2015 and passed out in 2019 I had taken Mechanical Branch my SRMJEE rank was around 34,000.
Faculty
Faculty is very helpful and updated with the new technology and education standards, they will make sure to impart the practical knowledge of whatever we study in classes, the faculty is very dedicated towards students and their attendance to make sure no student loses there precious time.
