Think before you choose your college

The college holds very strict criteria for attendance which should be 75% minimum. So, please consider it before taking admission here.

The semester system is hectic. There is two internals which leaves you with little time to do anything apart from college. The knowledge you gain in this course won't secure you a job. There were a few industrial visits. There are very thin chances to get on-campus placement for BA Economics.

Students can sit in the placement process of Gujarat University. Apart from it, the college has a separate placement cell. Students scoring anywhere near 75% or more have a good chance to get placed.

The college has an annual cultural event. The college also participates in Yothfest organized by Gujarat University. The department of economics conducts a national level of economics fest each year. Students are encouraged to take part in organizing the event which inculcates professional skills in them.

The fee structure is very feasible. The fees for BA range near 3000. The mode of payment for fees is NEFT. There are no additional charges required to secure an admission. The admission is strictly based on the cut-offs. There are different cutoffs for students taking admission through sports quota.

There are some scholarships for students belonging to reserved class however they are not directly offered by the college.

The campus life is vibrant. Students come to study from all parts of the world. International students also find it safe to study here. The college conducts exchange programs with other Jesuit Institutions at the national and international level. The campus is safe from ragging and bullying.

The seniors go to good colleges for their masters. This motivates us to work hard. They also provide guidance about which course to opt.

This course gives an extensive knowledge about the subject. It is good for those who want to have a better understanding of economics. It prepares a base for those who want to opt for their career in the field. St. Xavier's is a reputed institute which is renowned worldwide. To be an alumnus of this college gives a feeling of pride.

Usually, 3 lecturers are there in this course. The average age lies somewhere near 30. They are well qualified and most of them hold a doctorate degree. Some lectures are even the alumni of this college itself. The lectures hold industry experience. The senior professors are in this field for decades.
