Remarks
Faculty is good but the administration is dull here. They need to be more attentive and respectful of the student needs. They will vanish whenever you need them and also a lack of manpower down with the Administration is holding everything back. Teaching staff could be more effective if they would be better on hindi language as not everyone could speak or understanding Marathi.
Course Curriculum Overview
Exam structure is same what's for other colleges under SPPU. Exams are held on campus. Engineering and MBA are available in the college. Engineering is the most sought course here and if possible just avoid doing MBA from this college.
Placement Experience
Job opportunities are not the best here. Mass recruiting companies come here every year to pick up the students. Some of them require an aptitude exams and the starting salary is roughly 13-20k /month (that's what I hear from the seniors).
College Events
They have got some celebration which are sure to happen every year such as Ganesh festival, cultural fest, freshers party, sports events, annual festival, farewell party, Shivaji jayanti etc. Most important one is the Ganesh festival.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is feasible for engineering. It also depends upon how well did you do during the 12 grade examination and what's the merit on the merit list. SC / ST / OBC have the fixed price set in by the University but for others it varies. The highest I have seen has been 90k per semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
The only scholarship that they have is for those who are good at sports or had very high grades or if they are not financially sound otherwise neither do they offer anything else nor they promote it that much.
Campus Life
It is equipped with all the labs and workshops needed. Sports is just for name sake here. They got two portable basketball rings and a badminton court with is surrounded by the machinery (it's made inside the workshop). It's dangerous to play in there. For the labs they got the chemistry, physics, auto CAD, workshop, computer, electronics etc. Each department has got its own set of labs on their respective floor.
Hostel Facilities
It doesn't have hostel here but one could opt for the boys hostel which is just across the road from the college. The girls hostel is still far from the college campus. Boys hostel got WiFi (super slow), water supply and some parking space. They don't have a mess here nor do they have any common room. Each room has 3 cots and one washroom and balcony. It's 3 stories high. For food one will have to get a tiffin service or go to a restaurant. No place to cook for self. Overall the place is okay.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is not present. Seniors are helpful but you need to make friends with them and the best way to do is to live in the hostel. Not only will they provide key insights but also will tell you how to prepare for the examinations and from where to study.
Admission
I took the admission on the basis of my 12 grade marks. Got to choose this college and a letter of confirmation from DTE (directorate of technical education) Maharashtra. Went to the college for admission and submitted the required documents along with the fee.
Faculty
They are really helpful and will help you as much as possible but not all of them are good with teaching. Even though they are well educated themselves but it's hard to grasp what they are explaining. This can also be because they are not good in speaking Hindi or English. If you are fluent in Marathi then you won't have any issues there.
